摘要: A method and apparatus are described for supporting a two-stage device-to-device (D2D) discovery using a D2D interworking function (IWF). A D2D IWF component may be configured to perform mapping between an application running on an application server and a third generation partnership project (3GPP) network, and provide a set of application programming interfaces (APIs) to allow discovery to be provided as a service to D2D applications. An application identifier may be mapped to a 3GPP identifier. Further, a method and apparatus are described for performing client-server discovery. A first wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may be configured for a listen-only operation, and a second WTRU may be configured to transmit beacons. The first and second WTRUs may perform a radio access network (RAN) discovery procedure at an access stratum (AS) layer. A method and apparatus for performing charging for D2D service using a D2D IWF are also described.

摘要: Systems and methods for automatically adjusting telephonic conversation volume are provided. A computer-implemented method includes: detecting a telephone being used for a conversation and receiving data from at least one of a microphone, a camera, and a location system associated with the telephone. The method includes analyzing the data to determine at least one of: usage of sensitive or confidential words in the conversation; distance of the telephone to another person; level of annoyance of another person; conversation loudness relative to ambient loudness; location of the telephone relative to quiet areas. The method includes automatically adjusting a volume of a speaker of the telephone during the conversation based on the analyzing.

摘要: A method and system for authenticating an Internet user identity by cross-referencing and comparing at least two independent sources of information. A first geographical location of a computer signature of an internet user is identified, and the geographical location of a communication voice device of said internet user is identified to determine a second location. The first and second locations are compared for geographical proximity to confirm the identity of the internet user. Based upon geographical proximity of said locations, a score may be assigned to the internet user, and access to a website or authorization to carry out a transaction may be allowed or limited based upon said score. Alternatively, additional authentication information can be required or access can be terminated.

A rating/charging engine uses the rating attribute for determining the charging amount for the communication.

摘要: There are provided systems and methods for leased device operations to a nearby device on detection of device inoperability. A device may detect that the device is in danger of failure, for example, if a battery is low on the device, the device is damaged, or the device runs out of available memory for storage and/or application execution. On detection of such a condition, the device may determine current processes a user is currently utilizing. The device may the cause another device to be located at or nearby the device, where the other device may be capable of continuing the processes utilized by the user. The device may then cause a token to be generated that identifies the processes and data for the processes. The token may be communicated to the other device so that on failure of the original device, the user may continue the processes.

摘要: A method for location-dependent billing for a services that are available to a mobile terminal, a local communication connection is set up to a fixably installed external location tag with a corresponding wireless interface between the fixably installed tag and the mobile terminal, the method including the steps of accessing the external location tag and transmitting a billing rate code from the external location tag to the mobile terminal, forwarding the billing rate code from the mobile terminal to a central unit of a mobile communication network, in which the mobile terminal is logged, determining a geographic location identification of the external location tag by evaluation of the billing rate code at the central unit, and selecting a billing rate for billing for the service available to the user based on the billing rate code at the central unit.

摘要: An intermediate network node manages location data of mobile terminals in a wireless communication network and includes a processing unit and a memory, which contains instructions executable by the processing unit, whereby the network node is operative to establish connection with one or more mobility management nodes in the network, establish connection with any one of network nodes requesting location data indicating the location of at least one mobile terminal, receive a request for the location data indicating the location of the at least one mobile terminal from a requesting network node of said network nodes, obtain a set of location information indicating the location of the at least one mobile terminal from at least one of the mobility management nodes, produce the requested location data from the obtained set of location information, and provide the produced location data to the requesting network node of said network nodes.

The method further includes, when the user of the mobile computing device is eligible, determining use parameters for the enterprise sponsored mobile data service. The method further includes registering the mobile computing device for the enterprise sponsored mobile data service with an enterprise server and/or a mobile data service provider. The method further includes the mobile computing device receiving the enterprise sponsored mobile data services in accordance with the use parameters. The method further includes adjusting, by the mobile data service provider, billing rate of the mobile computing device while receiving the enterprise sponsored mobile data service.
