Abstract:
A process is described for filling an envelope of a cushion, a quilt, or the like, which envelope is essentially closed envelope with a closable filling opening, and having a filling material of individual aggregates, e.g. fiber aggregates, down, feathers, pieces of foam material. The reversibly compressible aggregates, which are in a separate filling material cartridge that has a far smaller volume than the maximum volume of the envelope and which are thus under high pressure, are introduced into the envelope through the opening along with at least a part of the filling material cartridge, whereupon the filling material cartridge is opened inside the envelope and the envelope is filled as the aggregates expand out from the filling material cartridge. This novel filling operation can be carried out by the specialty retailer or even by the end customer without additional special filling equipment.

A plane formed body, especially a floor covering, is described with a cover layer (1), a base layer (3) and a core layer (2) that have fibers that can be stitched. The three layers are stitched by means of fibers (1a) taken from the cover layer (1). The core layer (2) consists of polyvinyl chloride material in the form of pieces that are in solid form and a PVC binder or plastisol paste. The fibers (1a) are tightly bonded into all three layers (1,2,3).
Abstract:
A cover, in particular a bed cover, which comprises a case having two outer sheets, a filling and a thin sheet or foil located between the outer sheets is described, characterized in that the thin sheet is provided with a plurality of slits. Advantageously, the thin sheet comprises a plastic material, preferably having a vapor deposited aluminum coating. This results in a cover whereby the transport of heat through the cover is appreciably reduced.

A pillow with a cover and a filling is described, the pillow having a general rectangular shape and being characterized in that the cover (2) comprises an essentially unstretchable fabric, it has in the empty state, a flat generally rectangular configuration comprising, beginning with a rectangle with a side ratio of about 3:4, a first longer lateral edge containing a centered, inwardly directed curvature (4), while the other longer lateral edge has a centered, outwardly directed curvature (5); the filling (3) consists of essentially spherical fiber aggregates formed by spherically intertwined fibers and/or filaments, and the fiber aggregates filled into the cover (2) have a pile density amounting to 3 to 7 times the apparent density of the fiber aggregates in the uncompressed state outside the cover (2).The pillow of this configuration may be produced in a simple manner, is readily adapted to the needs of the user and adequately supports the head of the user both in the supine and the lateral position.

A quilted cover, in particular a bed cover, with two outer sheets between which a filling is placed, is described. It is characterized in that, in the area quilting, a plurality of fiber aggregates of spherically tangled fibers are located, through which the two outer sheets of the cover are joined together. Conveniently, the two outer sheets are joined together in the area of the quilting with threads penetrating through the fiber aggregates, with the threads being sewn through the two outer sheets and the fiber aggregates. A cover, in particular a bed cover, is created in this manner, which may be produced more simply and more flexibly and thus less expensively than known covers, while containing no cold bridges in the quilting areas.

A pillow for resting the head is described. The pillow has a cover, the inside of which is divided into a plurality of chambers optionally filled with different filler materials and/or to a different degree; the pillow being more versatile and variable than known pillows. The chambers include a principal chamber, and on at least two of its lateral edges, tubular-like chambers. The pillow thus comprises not only a chamber to be used as a neck roll, but at least one additional separate chamber, on which the head may be supported in a lateral position, but which may also be used optionally as a neck roll. The hardness of the principal chamber and of the individual tubular-like chambers may be differentially variable. In addition, corner chambers may be provided, which contain refill materials for the other chambers, or serve as a storage compartment for valuable objects or the like. The individual chambers are accessible by means of zipper closures or the like.

A textile flat structure is manufactured by needle processing of a pile yarn tufted into a carrier layer so that some pile loops of the pile yarn forming an upper layer are engaged by needles and their height and shape are changed, whereas at least one pile yarn is pulled toward the carrier layer, whereby a texture and/or pattern is produced. The textile flat structure has a carrier layer, a pile yarn tufted into the carrier layer and having pile loops at an upper side of the carrier layer and connecting base loops at a lower side thereof, whereas the pile loops forming an upper layer have at least non-uniform different heights.
