摘要: The present invention relates to a liquid ejecting apparatus including: a movable head provided with a plurality of nozzles for ejecting a liquid; a carry unit for carrying a medium in a predetermined carrying direction; and a sensor for detecting an edge of the medium, the liquid ejecting apparatus controlling ejection of the liquid from the plurality of nozzles in accordance with a result of the detection of the sensor. In this liquid ejecting apparatus, the position, in the carrying direction, of the sensor is at the same position of or on an upstream side of a nozzle located most upstream in the carrying direction, of among the plurality of nozzles. In this way, it is possible to arrange the sensor for detecting the edge of the paper at the most suitable position, and to suppress waste of ink that is ejected from the nozzles.

摘要: A motor control device for controlling rotation of a motor by controlling a driving voltage applied to the motor is provided. The device includes a driving voltage control unit configured to control the driving voltage, and a detecting unit configured to detect rotation of the motor. The motor has operating characteristics indicative of relationship between the driving voltage and a rotation speed of the motor, where the operating characteristics have a specific dead-band range of driving voltages wherein the rotation speed of the motor is zero regardless of changes in the driving voltage. The driving voltage control unit performs a low rotation control operation including at least one alternating repetition of a first control operation and a second control operation. The first control operation adjusts the driving voltage to have a value outside of the dead-band range from a value within the dead-band range, while the second control operation adjusts the driving voltage to have the value within the dead-band range from the value outside of the dead-band range. The second control operation is performed after a specific first amount of motor rotation has been detected in the first control operation.

摘要: There is provided a control unit capable of rapid and precise stoppage of an object to be driven by a motor for use in a printer. The control unit has a speed control part to control the object by acceleration control, constant speed control, deceleration control, and stoppage control by controlling a current to be applied to the motor, and also an inertia calculating part to calculate inertia of the object based on angular acceleration of the motor under the acceleration control of the object, and current values to be applied to the motor under the acceleration control and the constant speed control of the object. The speed control part uses the calculated inertia for controlling the current to be applied to the motor.

摘要: A pump member is cyclically moved to apply an air pressure to a liquid supply source to thereby supply liquid stored therein to a reservoir member. A driving source is driven in accordance with control information to move the pump member. A position sensor senses a position of the pump member. A first storage stores target information indicative of a target driving speed of the driving source. A first calculator obtains drive information indicative of an actual driving speed of the driving source based on the sensed position of the pump member. A second calculator obtains a difference between the target driving speed and the actual driving speed, and obtains correction information for reducing the difference. A corrector corrects the control information with the correction information.
