    Abstract: Method disclosed is applied to an OFDM wireless transmission system which includes at least two OFDM symbols, and includes: adding a zero power padding ZP to a tail end of each of the at least two OFDM symbols; adding data of Nw consecutive points at one end of a first OFDM symbol of the at least two OFDM symbols to the ZP at the other end of the first OFDM symbol, so that the data of the Nw points is a prefix and/or a suffix of the first OFDM symbol, where the first OFDM symbol includes data of N points, N>Nw; and performing point multiplication processing with symmetric time domain window function on the data of the Nw points at the two ends of the first OFDM symbol to which the prefix and/or the suffix is added, so that a sum of point coefficients corresponding to the symmetric time domain window function is 1.

    Abstract: This application discloses a configuration method for a network coding function and a related apparatus. The network coding function is implemented on a first access network device. Information needed for a terminal device to perform network coding and/or network decoding is configured by the first access network device, to enable network coding and decoding between the first access network device and the terminal device to be possible. After the network coding function is introduced to an access layer, both latency performance and spectral efficiency performance are considered by transmitting an encoded packet. To be specific, the first access network device may flexibly adjust a quantity of sent encoded packets based on quality of an air interface link, to ensure that the terminal device can successfully perform decoding, reducing a data transmission latency while ensuring service transmission reliability.

    Abstract: This application provides a communication method and apparatus. In the communication method, a first RLC entity is introduced to transmit a network-coded redundant packet, and a second RLC entity is introduced to transmit a network-coded original packet, so that requirement-based transmission of the network-coded redundant packet can be supported. The communication method includes: A terminal device receives scheduling information from an access network device, obtains a network-coded redundant packet through a first RLC entity, generates a first TB based on the network-coded redundant packet, and sends the first TB to the access network device, where the first TB includes the network-coded redundant packet. In this way, the access network device schedules the network-coded redundant packet by using the scheduling information only when the network-coded redundant packet needs to be scheduled, thereby avoiding a waste and reducing unnecessary redundant transmission.

An example data transmission method includes: performing network coding based on a first data segment, to obtain a first network coded data segment; generating first cyclic redundancy check CRC information and a first data unit based on the first network coded data segment, where the first data unit includes a network coding parameter and the first CRC information that correspond to the first network coded data segment, and the first CRC information is for checking the first network coded data segment; and outputting the first data unit.     Abstract: Embodiments provide a communication method, a network side device, and a terminal device. When a quantity of minimum scheduling time units in one time of scheduling performed by a network side device is S, and the network side device and a terminal device transmit data in a first transmission mode, a target scheduling rule can be determined by the terminal device from N scheduling rules. The scheduling rule includes at least one of a quantity T of transport blocks in one time of scheduling and a mapping relationship between T transport blocks and S minimum scheduling time units in one time of scheduling. The first transmission mode is a single-antenna transmission scheme or a multi-antenna transmission scheme. Communication can be performed, by the network side device, with the terminal device according to the target scheduling rule. In this way, proper scheduling rules can be selected to adapt to different scenarios.
