    Abstract: This application provides example methods and devices for determining a transmission direction. One example method includes receiving, by a terminal device, first indication information from a network device, where the first indication information is used to indicate a transmission direction in a first time element, where the first time element is located on a first resource, and where a frequency domain resource of the first resource is a first frequency domain resource. The terminal device can then determine a transmission direction in a second time element based on the transmission direction in the first time element, where the second time element is located on a second resource, where a frequency domain resource of the second resource is a second frequency domain resource, where the first frequency domain resource and the second frequency domain resource use different configuration parameters.

    Abstract: An indication method includes: receiving, by a terminal device, configuration information sent by a network device, where the configuration information includes at least two of a subcarrier configuration parameter, a time parameter of a first period, and a total quantity of slots included in the first period; and determining, by the terminal device based on the configuration information, information about a second period within which the terminal device performs data transmission by using a bandwidth part BWP. The network device may notify the terminal device of a plurality of SCSs supported by a cell and period information corresponding to the SCSs. The terminal device may determine information about a period within which data transmission is performed by using the BWP, so that the terminal device transmits data by using the cell.
