    Abstract: A method implemented in a transmitter/transceiver, the method including mapping any number of elements of an uplink control information (UCI) signal sequence (SS) to available subcarriers for transmitting an OFDM symbol for carrying information associated with a Physical Uplink Shared Channel (PUSCH), each of the subcarriers having at least two layers, precoding the mapped elements as a function of the layer of the subcarrier to which the elements are mapped, wherein a first precoding applied to a mapped element of a first layer of a subcarrier is different than a second precoding applied to a mapped element of a second layer of the same subcarrier, feeding the mapped elements of the UCI SS to an IDFT unit and transforming the mapped elements into an IDFT transformed signal that includes the mapped elements of the UCI SS carried by a plurality of resources for transmission.

    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, systems, devices, and computer program products directed to unique word (UW) discrete Fourier transform (DFT) spread and shaped orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) (“UW DFT-S-S-OFDM”) based communications are provided. Among new methodologies and/or technologies provided is a method that may be implemented in transmitter and that may include any of: transforming a set of data symbols and a UW sequence into a frequency domain (“fDOM”) signal using a DFT; replicating the fDOM signal so as to form a plurality of fDOM signal instances, wherein the plurality of fDOM signal instances is inclusive of the fDOM signal; shaping one or more of the plurality of fDOM signal instances; combining the plurality of fDOM signal instances to form a combined fDOM signal; transforming the combined fDOM signal into a block-based signal using an inverse DFT (IDFT); and outputting the block-based signal.

    Abstract: Methods and systems for operation in a wireless network are provided, the methods including receiving modulated data symbols and zeros in a frequency-domain, and mapping in the frequency-domain the modulated data symbols and zeros in an interleaved manner to sub-carriers within a resource allocation. The methods and systems further include generating a time-domain data signal based on the mapped sub-carriers, and generating a time domain cancellation signal by sign inverting and repeating a predetermined number of time-domain samples at a tail portion of the data signal. The methods and systems further include combining the time-domain data signal and the time domain cancellation signal to generate an exact zero tail data signal such that the exact zero tail data signal has a zero tail length equal to the predetermined number of time-domain samples, and transmitting the exact zero tail data signal.

    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses and systems are provided for grant-less (GL) uplink transmissions. A wireless transmit/receive unit (WTRU) may receive a configuration of a set of GL Physical Uplink Shared Channel (GL-PUSCH) frequency resources. The WTRU may monitor for a downlink control information (DCI) message, wherein the DCI message includes an indication of a presence of at least a subset of the set of GL-PUSCH frequency resources. If the WTRU successfully receives the DCI message, the WTRU may select one or more GL-PUSCH frequency resources from the subset of the set of GL-PUSCH frequency resources and may select a time period. The WTRU may transmit data on a GL-PUSCH using the selected GL-PUSCH frequency resources during the selected time period. The WTRU may also monitor for hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) based on the selected GL-PUSCH frequency resources. The WTRU may monitor for the DCI during a fixed time window.
