Abstract: A user equipment “UE” may be configured with a client application for data collection, contact information pertaining to a network Application Function “AF,” and data collection information such as parameters, whereby the UE collects data that is specific to the UE and sends it to the AF over a user plane. The data collection parameters may include one or more of a type of data the UE should collect, data associated with one or more analytics IDs and application IDs, a data collection frequency, and a reporting frequency. The data collection information may include a processing requirement, an expiration time for the collected data, a timestamp of the data collection, and/or a correlation identifier that associates the collected data with the UE.

Abstract: Network Slice Selection Assistance information (NSSA1) may be signaled between U ser Equipment (UE) and a network. NSSA1 sent from the network to the UE may include, for example. Operating Frequency Band (OFB) for each Single NSSAI(S-NSSA1) in the NSSAI, as well as a Radio Access Technology (RAT) Frequency Selection Priority (RFSP) index, which the network configures as a part of UE access and mobility; subscription, during a UE registration procedure. RAT restrictions may be enhanced to indicate to the UE that certain slices are not accessible via certain RATs. A UE may be provided by the network with an alternative NSSAI and corresponding OFBs for each S-NSSAI thereby indicating to the UE that these S-NSSAI would have been allowed had they been requested. A UE may be able to choose an alternative Allowed NSSAI and send a registration update request to the network.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for distributed services and data in a machine-to-machine (M2M) communication network are disclosed. A network server, an M2M gateway, and M2M devices include an M2M service capability layer for supporting M2M service capabilities, respectively. Reference points may be defined for interactions between network service capability layers, between gateway service capability layers, between a gateway service capability layer and a device service capability layer of an M2M device, between M2M device applications, and/or between a network, gateway, or device service capability layer and an M2M application. The network server may be split into a control server and a data server at a service capability layer to provide service capabilities for control functions and service capabilities for data functions, respectively. The data server may be configured to interact with another data server to push or pull data or resources either directly or indirectly via the control server.

The method may include responding to receiving batched requests from an entity by processing the batched requests, and sending a response to the batched requests to the entity. The method may include sending a separate response to each request indicated in the batched request to the entity, or sending a batched response. Two or more batched requests may have the same operation and the operation may be only specified once. The operation may be determined based on a name of the batched requests or an attribute of the batched request. The request may be determined to be a batch request based on a name of the batched request, attributes associated with the batched request, or an address to which the batched request is addressed. The ASL may be a service capability layer.
