    摘要： A dual-sided IDC connector for use in connecting electrical components to field wiring is described. One side of the IDC connector may be factory-wired to an electrical component. A second side of the IDC connector may be field-wired in an end-wiring or a through-wiring configuration. The second side of the IDC connector may have multiple covers to minimize the effort required by a field technician to terminate the field-wiring. The IDC connector may be easily mounted to existing raceways, outlet strips, and junction boxes.

    摘要： A modular telephone connector includes a housing defining a standard telephone jack, a contact carrier that mounts a plurality of metal contacts each having resilient cantilever jack forming portions and insulation displacement portions and a wire positioning fixture having aligned first and second rows of wire guide channels. The connector is assembled by latching the contact carrier and contacts to the housing, positioning wires through first and second wire guide channels of the wire positioning fixture and securing the fixture to the housing and contact carrier with a centrally located cantilever latch arm formed on the fixture inwardly from the periphery of the connector, closely adjacent the row of contacts. The latch arm engages a slot formed in the housing and contact carrier to releasably secure the fixture to the connector. The central latch arm prevents misalignment of the fixture with the housing and contact carrier which can result in defective termination of the connector.

    摘要： A push-pull plug has an outer housing that may be moved forwardly and backwardly along a plug housing. When the outer housing is in its forward position, a latch arm is in an upward or mated position and the plug will stay mated to a jack when the plug is inserted into the jack. When the outer housing is moved backwardly, cam surfaces on the outer housing push cam followers on the latch arm downwardly, moving the latch arm and latch to a downward or unmated position. The plug may then be removed from a jack as the outer housing is pulled. The plugs may be adapted for use with an insertion and removal tool. Corner finger grips may be formed on the outer housing and may be located in an alternating manner to facilitate use when plugs are closely positioned.
