摘要: Systems, devices and methods are described for connecting multiple electrical connectors as a group with corresponding receiving sockets, or connection ports, in a medical device. A multiple electrical connector plate acts as an intermediate connector for quickly engaging or disengaging a group of electrodes with the corresponding device as a single unit. The connection plate includes multiple sections that allow a connector to be snapped securely in place on the connection plate such that the connector does not pull or push free from its snapped in location, resulting in group handling of electrical connectors that is less time consuming, reduces errors and positively impacts the quality of medical care.

摘要: A cable connector wrench and method of operation that in one example has a shaft with a pair of asymmetrical jaws at one end and a handle coupled to the other end. The two jaws form an assembly in which the jaws are joined with a pivot. The fixed jaw is attachable to the shaft and the movable jaw is coupled to the fixed jaw. The movable jaw and the fixed jaw cooperate to engage a connector of a cabled assembly wherein the connector wrench is adapted for tightening or loosening the connector of the cabled assembly.

摘要: A three-dimensional neural probe electrode array system is described. Planar probes are microfabricated and electrically connected to flexible micro-machined ribbon cables using a rivet bonding technique. The distal end of each cable is connected to a probe with the proximal end of the cable being customized for connection to a printed circuit board. Final assembly consists of combining multiple such assemblies into a single structure. Each of the two-dimensional neural probe arrays is positioned into a micro-machined platform that provides mechanical support and alignment for each array. Lastly, a micro-machined cap is placed on top of each neural electrode probe and cable assembly to protect them from damage during shipping and subsequent use. The cap provides a relatively planar surface for attachment of a computer controlled inserter for precise insertion into the tissue.

摘要: Disclosed is a connector for a blood pressure measurement system that includes a pressure generating and regulating system and a finger cuff, in which the connector comprises: a first half portion pneumatically and electrically connected to the pressure generating and regulating system; and a second half portion fixedly attached to the finger cuff, wherein the first half portion and the second half portion are connectable in two or more orientations, and wherein the pressure generating and regulating system and the finger cuff are pneumatically and electrically connected when the first half portion and the second half portion are connected.

摘要: A multiple connector assembly includes a connector housing. A first connector and a second connector, adjacent the first connector, extend from a first surface of the connector housing. A securing member is coupled to the connector housing and is configured to engage a connector coupling member to secure the first connector in a first connector receptacle and the second connector in a second connector receptacle. A connector release actuator that is located on a second surface of the connector housing that is opposite the first surface of the connector housing. The connector release actuator is configured to actuate the securing member to cause the securing member to disengage with the connector coupling member such that the first connector is no longer secured in the first connector receptacle and the second connector is no longer secured in the second connector receptacle.

摘要: An illustrative cable connector hand tool and associated methods are operable to permit cable connection sections to respectively pass through a side opening of hand tool members into a center aperture of the tool members. Exemplary hand tool members are formed with a recessed portion adapted to receive an end of one of a pair of cable connectors such that mating edges of the cable connectors used to couple the cable connection sections are visible when the cable connectors are in a coupled configuration abutting each other. An illustrative embodiment includes the recessed portion formed with a plurality of recesses spaced apart in the center aperture operable to engage protrusions on an outer wall of the cable connectors. Exemplary cable connectors engage each other with respective threaded connection sections to apply compressive or coupling force to two ends of the cable when the tools rotate the connectors.

The socket may also include a plurality of walls extending from the base section, in which each of the plurality of wails is angled with respect to the base section and in which the plurality of walls include air ducts to enable air to flow through the socket when the first board is positioned on the socket. The socket may further include socket alignment elements extending from the base section, in which the alignment elements are to be inserted into mating holes in the second board.
