Abstract: A furnace for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a first set of heat exchanger tubes positioned within an air flow path of the furnace through which an air flow may be directed, a second set of heat exchanger tubes positioned within the air flow path of the furnace, and a deflector baffle positioned within the air flow path and configured to direct a portion of the air flow toward the second set of heat exchanger tubes. The first set of heat exchanger tubes, the deflector baffle, and the second set of heat exchanger tubes are each respectively offset from one another in a direction of the air flow along the air flow path.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system that has a first circuit and a second circuit that each have a compressor and a condenser, a conduit extending from the second circuit downstream of the condenser to the first circuit upstream of the compressor, a valve along the conduit that may manage flow therethrough, and a controller that may operate the HVAC system in a first mode such that each circuit separately circulates the refrigerant in each circuit and transition to a second mode such that refrigerant-sharing occurs between the circuits. In response to a request to transition from the second mode to the first mode, the controller may determine an amount of refrigerant subcooling, compare the amount to a threshold value associated with the first mode, and instruct opening of the valve upon a determination that the amount is less than the threshold value.

The first distance is greater than the second distance. Abstract: A fan shroud for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) unit may include an outer wall to couple to a housing of the HVAC unit and an inner wall disposed within the outer wall. Additionally, the inner wall may be air permeable. The fan shroud may also include an acoustic damping material disposed between the outer wall and the inner wall. The fan shroud may encircle a fan of the HVAC unit to reduce noise.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a centering system for a heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) unit to be mounted to a curb. The centering system includes a centering wedge configured to couple to a base rail of the HVAC unit, the base rail having a lateral surface and a base surface along a length of the HVAC unit. The centering wedge includes an angled surface configured to extend between the lateral surface of the base rail and the base surface of the base rail. The angled surface is configured to contact the curb during installation of the HVAC unit to guide the HVAC unit toward a centered position on the curb.
