An image processing system includes a first image processing device including a first processor. The first processor executes a process including: detecting a change in a load status at the first image processing device; sending a request for information relating to a load status at the second image processing device to the second image processing device when the change in the load status at the first image processing device is detected; analyzing the information relating to the load status at the second image processing device, and determining whether or not the first image processing device establishes wireless communication with a portable terminal; and adjusting to relatively lower a radio field strength from the first image processing device below the radio field strength from the second image processing device when the first image processing device determines not to establish wireless communication with the portable terminal.

The remote control portion includes a motion detecting portion to detect a motion of the user, and a state maintaining portion to control the image forming apparatus not to change the operating state while a remote-operation motion for inputting a remote operation is detected by the motion detecting portion after a communication with the image forming apparatus has been established.

The terminal device switches a working application in the terminal device to another application, during the transmitting and receiving process via the cooperation application program. In this instance, the terminal device suspends the transmitting and receiving process. The terminal device executes transmitting and receiving process via the another application for a part of the image data for which the transmitting and receiving process is not executed.

An image processing system includes an image processing apparatus and a portable terminal apparatus. The image processing apparatus includes: a first USB connector; and a command transmitter that transmits a file manipulation command. The portable terminal apparatus includes: a second USB connector; a detector that detects that the portable terminal apparatus is connected to the first USB connector via the second USB connector; a memory being capable of storing a plurality of first folders; a register that registers address information of a Web service, the Web service being combined with at least one first folder stored on the memory; a mounting portion that accesses the Web service and mounts at least one second folder of the Web service onto the at least one first folder; and a controller that obtains a file from the Web service to transfer to the image processing apparatus upon the file manipulation command being received.
