    摘要: In a rain shelter control system for vehicular doorways, an electronic key ECU causes exterior signal transmitters to periodically transmit request signals. When a portable device receives the request signal in an arrival range of the request signals, the portable device generates a response signal responsive to the request signal. When a receiver receives the response signal from the portable device, the electronic key ECU operates to automatically open any of rain shelters near the portable device, so that a holder of the portable device and passengers fold their umbrellas under the opened rain shelters, so that they can get into a vehicle without being exposed to rain. Besides, the electronic key ECU operates to automatically open the rain shelter when they get off the vehicle.

    摘要: When a compartment internal transmitter of a vehicle-side unit transmits a request signal with vehicle doors opened, at least one of strength of the request signal and sensitivity of a hand-held device to receive the request signal are set at a level lower than a normal level. Thus, even when the vehicle doors are in an open state, a communication area of the compartment internal transmitter is prevented from being extended to cover the outside of the compartment. As a result, when the holder of the hand-held device operates any of the vehicle doors from a location outside the vehicle compartment, it is possible to avoid an erroneous assumption that the hand-held device is left behind in the vehicle compartment and to execute a sequence of consecutive operations.

    摘要: A network device with integrated topology discovery functions adapted to virtual local area networks (VLANs). VLAN segments are mapped on a network system formed from multiple network devices. One network device creates and broadcasts a query packet for topology discovery in each VLAN, in response to a command from a management console linked to that network device. At each receiving network device, a query packet receiver receives the query packet, and a reply packet is produced by a reply packet generator. A reply packet transmitter sends the produced reply packet back to the requesting network device. A query packet transmitter forwards the received query packet to neighboring subordinate network devices.

    摘要: An in-vehicle device controller includes: an in-vehicle unit for controlling an in-vehicle device; and a portable device. The in-vehicle unit includes a request signal transmitter for transmitting a request signal including random information to the portable device. The portable device transmits a response signal in response to the request signal at multiple frequencies according to a switching pattern corresponding to a part of the random information. The in-vehicle unit further includes: a frequency specifying device for specifying the switching pattern based on the part of the random information; and a reception determination device for executing a reception determination process of the response signal based on a specified switching pattern. The in-vehicle device identifies the portable device according to the reception determination process, and controls the in-vehicle device according to an identification of the portable device.

    摘要: An in-vehicle device notifies a mobile device of a frequency channel which has been stored in its memory unit, and sets the notified channel to a reception channel. The mobile device transmits a reply signal through the channel notified from the in-vehicle device. When the in-vehicle device determines that a code included in the received reply signal is identical with a code specific to a vehicle, the in-vehicle device stores the channel used for receiving the reply signal in its memory unit. As a result, each communication is conducted through the same channel, which enabled the successful communication previously, thereby enhancing the certainty of communication.

    摘要: In an in-vehicle device control system, an in-vehicle device is controlled based on a checkup result of checkup operation, in which a checkup about a portable device is performed by mutual communication of transmitting a request signal from a vehicle-side unit mounted on a vehicle and transmitting in return a response signal from the portable device in response to the request signal. If the checkup is unsuccessful, the mutual communication is performed again by switching the communication frequency to perform the checkup again. When a user operates a door lock sensor, the vehicle-side unit performs an exterior checkup first. If the checkup is successful, a communication frequency, by which the checkup was performed successfully, is stored in a memory. The vehicle-side unit sets the communication frequency stored in the memory as a communication frequency, which is to be designated to the portable device, for performing an interior checkup next time.
