摘要： The present invention provides a process for producing a toner having little remaining polymerizable monomer in it by suspension polymerization. During the latter half of the polymerization reaction, the remaining polymerizable monomers and the aqueous medium are evaporated or removed while supplying the aqueous medium, saturated vapor of the aqueous medium, saturated vapor of a water-soluble solvent, or water-soluble gas to maintain the ratio of solid-liquid constant.

摘要： A laminate film suitable for providing a transparency for an OHP (overhead projector) is formed by disposing an absorbing layer on a substrate. The absorbing layer functions to allow addition of a wax component to a toner so as to improve the color mixing characteristic and anti-offset characteristic of the toner without causing a wax exudation trace which is liable to occur in a fixed toner image if the absorbing layer is not provided.

摘要： A yellow toner for developing electrostatic images is formed of yellow toner particles containing a binder resin and a yellow colorant. The yellow toner has a storage modulus G'.sub.180 at 180.degree. C. and a minimum storage modulus G'.sub.min(120-170) in a temperature range of 120-170.degree. C. giving a ratio [G'.sub.180 /G'.sub.min(120-170) ] of 2.0-8.0. The binder resin comprises a polyester resin having a glass transition temperature of 50-65.degree. C. and an acid value of 2.0-25.0 mgKOH/g. The yellow toner is a compound represented by Formula (1) below:Formula (1): ##STR1## The primary particles of the yellow colorant exhibit a length/breadth ratio of at most 1.5. The yellow colorant is dispersed in the toner particles as independent particles (including primary particles and secondary particles) providing a number-average particle size of 0.1-0.7 .mu.m. The yellow toner is provided with improved fixability and anti-offset property as well as good color toner performances.

摘要： An image forming method has developing an electrostatic latent image on an electrostatic latent image bearing member by the use of a toner containing a wax component, to form a toner image on the electrostatic latent image bearing member; transferring the toner image to the surface of a recording medium; and fixing the toner image on the recording medium, to the recording medium. The recording medium has a laminated film having a substrate layer and a wax component absorption layer for absorbing a wax component contained in the toner. The wax component absorption layer is formed of a resin capable of inhibiting crystal growth of the wax component. The wax component absorption layer is capable of absorbing the wax component contained in the toner when the toner image is fixed to the recording medium.

摘要： A toner for developing electrostatic images includes: toner particles and organically treated alumina powder. The organically treated alumina powder has an X-ray diffraction characteristic showing a maximum X-ray intensity level I.sub.a-max and a minimum X-ray intensity level I.sub.a-min in a 2.theta. range of 20 to 70 degrees providing a ratio I.sub.a-max /I.sub.a-min of below 6. The alumina powder is amorphous or has a low-crystallinity of .gamma.-form, thereby showing a low agglomeratability to function as an effective flowability-improving agent for a toner. The structural water contained in the alumina powder contained favors hydrophobization treatment thereof and functions to suppress a charge-up phenomenon in a low humidity environment after the hydrophobization.

摘要： A color toner for developing electrostatic images is formed of color toner particles each including a binder resin, a polyalkylene, and a colorant. The color toner particles are formed by suspension polymerization. The polyalkylene is characterized by having a crystallinity of 10-50% and a melting enthalpy (as measured by a differential scanning calorimeter) of at most 35 cal/g. The color toner is characterized by an improved fixability without causing offset especially at a relatively low temperature and suitable for providing a transparency film for an overhead projection.

摘要： A height adjustment device is provided that has a first chassis having an adjustment hole, an adjustment screw that stands when threadedly engaged with the adjustment hole in the first chassis, a second chassis locked by the adjustment screw so as to have a preset separation distance from the first chassis, and biasing means for biasing the first chassis and the second chassis in the direction of attaining separation therebetween.
