Abstract:
The present invention provides an ink jet printing apparatus of a low-cost and simple construction which can detect with high reliability a gap between a print medium and a print head mounted on a carriage. The ink jet printing apparatus, which reciprocally moves in a predetermined scan direction the carriage holding the print head for ejecting ink onto the print medium, includes a gap changing mechanism for changing the gap between the print head held in the carriage and the print medium and a control unit for controlling a driving of the gap changing mechanism and a reciprocal movement of the carriage, wherein the control unit drives the gap changing mechanism and reciprocally moves the carriage to check the operation state of the gap changing mechanism.
Abstract:
To provide an image recording apparatus and an image recording method which can restrain occurrence of an ink stain and achieve reduction of time for printing in the case of both-side recording. The apparatus includes a setting unit for variably setting a length of time between an end of recording on a first recording side (surface) of a recording medium and a start of recording on a second recording side (reverse side) of the recording medium in accordance with image data for recording on the first recording side of the recording medium.
Abstract:
An image recording apparatus and an image recording method utilize a setting unit variably setting a length of time between an end of recording on a first recording side (surface) of a recording medium and a start of recording on a second recording side (reverse side) of the recording medium in accordance with image data for recording on the first recoding side of the recording medium.
Abstract:
An ink jet recording apparatus which performs recording on a recording medium using an ink jet recording head comprises an ink jet recording area where ink jet recording is performed, a conveyance route where the recording medium is conveyed in the ink jet recording area, while being opposed to the ink jet recording head, a conveying roller provided on the upstream side of the conveyance route in the ink jet recording area for guiding the recording medium to the ink jet recording area, a plurality of pinch rollers provided at predetermined intervals in the axial direction of the conveying roller, the pinch rollers sandwiching the recording medium to effect conveyance together with the conveying roller, and a controlling rotary member at a position shifted from the recording surface side of the recording medium to the back side with respect to the conveyance route on the downstream side of the ink jet recording area in the conveyance route and making contact with the recording surface side of the recording medium to shift the recording medium to the back side. A controlling rotary member is placed on the downstream side of the conveyance route corresponding to every gap portion between adjacent pinch rollers.
