    Abstract: The present invention relates to a refrigerator. A refrigerator according to the present invention may comprises a first tray assembly forming one part of ice-making cells, and a second tray assembly forming the other part of same. Following the start of ice making process, so that ice can be produced in the direction of ice-making cells formed by any one tray assembly, from among the first and second tray assemblies, to the ice-making cells formed by the other tray assembly, the other tray assembly comprises a first surface forming a part of the ice-making cells, and a second surface extending from the first surface and supported by at least one surface of the one assembly.

    Abstract: A refrigerator includes: a storage chamber configured to store food; a cooler configured to supply cold into the storage chamber; a first tray assembly configured to define a portion of an ice making cell that is a space in which water is phase-changed into ice by the cold; a second tray assembly configured to define another portion of the ice making cell; a heater disposed adjacent to at least one of the first tray assembly or the second tray assembly; and a controller configured to control the heater, wherein the controller controls the heater to be turned on in at least partial section while the cooler supplies the cold so that bubbles dissolved in the water within the ice making cell moves from a portion, at which the ice is made, toward the water that is in a liquid state to make transparent ice, and the controller controls the heater so that when a heat transfer amount between the cold within the storage chamber and the water of the ice making cell increases, the heating amount of the heater increases, and when the heat transfer amount between the cold within the storage chamber and the water of the ice making cell decreases, the heating amount of the heater decreases so as to maintain an ice making rate of the water within the ice making cell within a predetermined range that is less than an ice making rate when the ice making is performed in a state in which the heater is turned off.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a refrigerator.

The second tray assembly includes a first coupling part connected to the pusher and a second coupling part connected to the driver.

    Abstract: A refrigerator of the present invention comprises: a storage chamber for storing food; a cool air supplying means for supplying cool air to the storage chamber; a first tray which forms a part of an ice-making cell in which water is phase-changed to ice by the cool air; a second tray which forms another part of the ice-making cell and can be in contact with the first tray during an ice-making process; a water supply valve for adjusting a flow of the water supplied to the ice-making cell; a water supply amount detector for detecting the amount of water supplied to the ice-making cell; and a controller for controlling the water supply valve. The controller controls the water supply valve to supply water to the ice-making cell as much as a first reference water supply amount, for supplying water to the ice-making cell at a water supply position of the second tray. After finishing the water supply as much as the first reference water supply amount, the controller moves the second tray to an ice-making position and determines whether the water supply amount of the ice-making cell has reached a target water supply amount by using the water supply amount detector. When the water supply amount of the ice making cell has reached the target water supply amount, the controller starts ice-making, and when the water supply amount of the ice making cell has not reached the target water supply amount, the controller moves the second tray back to the water supply position and controls the water supply valve to supply water as much as a second reference water supply amount which is less than the first reference water supply amount.
