Abstract: An ice maker of a refrigerator includes a tray assembly having an upper tray that defines upper portions of a plurality of ice making chambers. Each of the plurality of ice making chambers is configured to receive water and generate an ice piece. The tray assembly also includes a lower tray that is located vertically below the upper tray, that is configured to rotate relative to the upper tray, and that defines lower portions of the plurality of ice making chambers, wherein at least one of the upper tray or the lower tray comprises a flexible tray made of a flexible material. Additionally, a case is configured to accommodate the flexible tray to restrict a deformation of the flexible tray. A heater that is located between the case and the flexible tray is configured to supply heat to the plurality of ice making chambers through the flexible tray.

Abstract: A method of cleaning an evaporator of an ice maker can include a first manual intervention comprising activating a switch of an ice maker, activating the switch of the ice maker comprising initiating an overall cleaning procedure; a first automatic step comprising signaling to a user that a second manual intervention comprising pouring one of a cleaning fluid and a sanitizing fluid into a tank of an evaporator case of the ice maker is required; the second manual intervention comprising pouring the one of the cleaning fluid and the sanitizing fluid into the tank; and a second automatic step comprising automatically initiating and completing at least one of a cleaning stage and a sanitizing stage upon completion of the second manual intervention, automatically initiating the at least one of the cleaning stage and the sanitizing stage comprising operating a cleaning valve of a water circuit of the ice maker by a main controller of the ice maker.

The heat pipe may be mounted to the air conduit and extend therefrom outside of the conduit path. The conductive ice mold may be mounted to the heat pipe within the IB compartment. The conductive ice mold may define a mold cavity outside of the air conduit. The water dispenser may be positioned below the conductive ice mold to direct an ice-building spray of water to the mold cavity.

Abstract: A system for manufacturing clear ice products is provided. The system includes a freezing module, a demolding module, and a converting station. The freezing module includes a frame comprising a plurality of levels, a plate freezer provided at each level, and at least one mold provided for placement on each plate freezer and suitable for receiving water. A control frame is provided associated with each plate freezer and is movable from an elevated position to fill position. In the fill position, the control frame is at least partially disposed within the mold. One or more circulation pumps are associated with each control frame for circulating water in the mold to release air bubbles as the water freezes. The demolding module removes the mold from the freezing module and removes formed ice from the mold. The converting station converts the formed ice into a clear ice product.
