Abstract: A fastening tool includes a housing, a fastener-abutment part, a pin-gripping part, a motor, a driving mechanism and a handle. The housing extends in a front-rear direction along a driving axis. The driving mechanism is configured to move the pin-gripping part rearward along the driving axis relative to the fastener-abutment part. The driving mechanism includes a rotary member and a movable member configured to linearly move in the front-rear direction when the rotary member is rotationally driven. The handle protrudes downward from the housing and has a trigger. A rotation axis of a motor shaft extends in parallel to the driving axis on a lower side of the driving axis. A virtual plane including the driving axis and the rotation axis passes a center of the handle in a left-right direction. The trigger is disposed between the rotary member and a motor body in the front-rear direction.

Abstract: It is an object to provide a novel technique for releasing an intervening member of a driving member. A representative screwdriver is provided with a motor and a driving mechanism. The driving mechanism has a spindle, a lock sleeve, rollers, a driving gear, a retainer and a spring receiver. When driven with the rollers held between the lock sleeve and the driving gear, the spindle is rotated in a normal direction. The lock sleeve has an inclined part and the retainer has an inclined part. The lock sleeve and the retainer move with respect to each other in the axial direction and the circumferential direction by sliding contact between the inclined parts. This relative movement in the circumferential direction is utilized to release the holding of the rollers.

Abstract: A power screwdriver may include a main body including a bit drive device configured to rotate a driver bit. A screw may be attached to the driver bit. The power screwdriver may further include a locator attached to the main body and configured to adjust a driving depth of the screw into a workpiece. The locator may include a contact member including a contact surface for contacting with the surface of the workpiece. An orientation adjusting device may adjust the orientation of the contact member relative to the main body or the axial direction of the driver bit.
