摘要： An image heating device having a predetermined amount of heat generation with a small electric current. The device comprises a heat-generating roller (1) having magnetism and conductivity, an exciting coil (5) opposed to the peripheral face of the heat-generating roller (1) and adapted for allowing the heat-generating roller (1) to generate heat with electromagnetic induction. The exciting coil (5) is composed of a bundle of 60 copper wires of a 0.2 mm diameter are extended in the direction of the rotation axis of the heat-generating roller (1) and they are circumferentially wound along the circumferential direction of the heat-generating roller (1). The bundled wires are arranged in close contact with each other in the circumferential direction of the heat-generating roller (1) so as to cover the upper half of the heat-generating roller (1).

摘要： An oil application roller capable of preventing an oil leak when the roller is left in the state where the rotation axis thereof runs vertically and also capable of preventing an oil escape from the roller in a fixing device. The oil application roller (15) includes a seal ring (25) at respective end portions of the roller (15). The seal ring (25) includes a vent hole (26) extending from an end face of the roller (15) to the outside of the seal ring (25), and the cross-sectional area of the vent hole is not less than 0.01 mm2 and not more than 1 mm2.

摘要： A magnetic toner for use in electrophotographic development which can be endowed with high performance by subjecting it to surface treatment with hot air in its dispersed state. The magnetic toner is used in an electrophotographic system including a development process in which an electrostatic latent image is formed by using a photoconductive drum having a stationary magnet therein, and thereafter the magnetic toner is sucked in a toner sump by magnetic force, whereby non-image area toner is recovered by an electrode roller, and the electrophotographic system including a recycle process of the residual toner. The magnetic toner is capable of realizing high-quality image development and stable recycle of residual toner by subjecting the magnetic toner to surface treatment with hot air.

摘要： Magnetic toner used for electrophotographic development includes additives such as inorganic fine particles, having a particular particle diameter and specific surface area, and hydrophobic silica having a particular specific surface area and surface treatment, so that the magnetic toner can provide images of high quality without generating photoconductor filming. The magnetic toner is applied to the electrophotographic method including the developing step of forming electrostatic latent images on a photoconductor containing a stationary magnet, magnetically attracting the magnetic toner to the surface of the photoconductor in a toner sump, and collecting toner at a non-image section by an electrode roller; the transferring step of transferring the toner to transfer paper; the cleaning step of removing residual magnetic toner left on the photoconductor in the transferring step; and the recycling step of recycling the residual magnetic toner.
