    摘要: The toner supply apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a shaft connection mechanism in which a first and a second joint are engaged to thereby enable transmission of rotation of a first shaft of a development device and a second shaft of a toner storage container. The first joint has a first engagement member biased from a first main body towards a second joint, and a biasing member for biasing the first engagement member. The second joint has a second main body and an engaging recessed portion engaging with the accommodated first engagement member in a configuration that is substantially incapable of rotation. When the first rotation axis is not aligned with the second rotation axis and the first engagement member is accommodated in the engaging recessed portion, the first engagement member inclines relative to the first or second rotation axis and can engage with the engaging recessed portion.

    摘要: An imaging apparatus includes a toner ejection mode whereby toner stored in a black developing container is completely removed from the developing container by rotating a rotary developing unit at a specific timing and using gravity and the centrifugal force that acts on the toner stored in the black developing container due to this rotation, or using the vibration that acts on the black developing container when the rotation is stopped. In this toner ejection mode, the toner is ejected from the developing container of the rotary developing unit, an image for a single sheet of recording paper is formed on the surface of a photoreceptor drum, and the toner constituting the image transferred onto the surface of an intermediate transfer belt by the photoreceptor drum is then recovered by a belt-cleaning unit.

The feeding or replenishing roller is positioned so that its end surfaces are in contact with the inner end surfaces of the seals.

    摘要: An image-forming machine including a main body of the machine having a lower housing and an upper housing mounted on the lower housing pivotably between an open position and a closed position, and a process unit detachably mounted on the lower housing on the main body. The lower housing has a supporting-guiding device mounted pivotably between an elevated position and a lowered position, a holding device pivotably mounted between a holding position at which the supporting-guiding device is held at the elevated position and a release position at which the supporting-guiding device is permitted to move to the lowered position, and a biasing position for elastically biasing the holding device at the holding position. The process unit has a first unit and a second unit. The supporting-guiding device positioned at the elevated position can be mounted on and detached from the first unit. The second unit is separably combined with the first unit. The first unit includes a developing device, and the second unit includes a rotating drum having a photosensitive member disposed on the surface.
