摘要： The toner supply apparatus according to the present disclosure includes a shaft connection mechanism in which a first and a second joint are engaged to thereby enable transmission of rotation of a first shaft of a development device and a second shaft of a toner storage container. The first joint has a first engagement member biased from a first main body towards a second joint, and a biasing member for biasing the first engagement member. The second joint has a second main body and an engaging recessed portion engaging with the accommodated first engagement member in a configuration that is substantially incapable of rotation. When the first rotation axis is not aligned with the second rotation axis and the first engagement member is accommodated in the engaging recessed portion, the first engagement member inclines relative to the first or second rotation axis and can engage with the engaging recessed portion.

摘要： An imaging apparatus includes a toner ejection mode whereby toner stored in a black developing container is completely removed from the developing container by rotating a rotary developing unit at a specific timing and using gravity and the centrifugal force that acts on the toner stored in the black developing container due to this rotation, or using the vibration that acts on the black developing container when the rotation is stopped. In this toner ejection mode, the toner is ejected from the developing container of the rotary developing unit, an image for a single sheet of recording paper is formed on the surface of a photoreceptor drum, and the toner constituting the image transferred onto the surface of an intermediate transfer belt by the photoreceptor drum is then recovered by a belt-cleaning unit.

摘要： A device for developing an electrostatic latent image that includes a developing roller which is disposed in a developing housing, holds the developing agent on its peripheral surface, and conveys the developing agent that is held to a developing zone, a feeding roller for feeding the developing agent onto the peripheral surface of the developing roller, and seals that are disposed so as to be opposed to both ends of the developing roller from the downstream side of the developing zone to the upstream side of a developing agent-limiting zone. The device further includes seal lips that are formed in a protruding manner and which extend from one end on the side of the developing zone to an opposite end on the side of the developing agent-limiting zone. The feeding or replenishing roller is positioned so that its end surfaces are in contact with the inner end surfaces of the seals.

摘要： An image-forming machine includes a detachably mountable process unit. The process unit has a rotatable drum having an electrostatographic material thereon, a corona discharger, a developing device and a cleaning device. The developing device includes a development housing for holding a developer, a developer applicator for applying the developer to the electrostatographic material, and an agitating device for stirring the developer in the development housing. An agitating member of the agitating device is arranged to prevent damage of the agitating device due to forces resisting agitation motion by the agitating member. The developer applicator has a sleeve member for holding a developer on its surface, and a developer regulating blade which regulates the developer layer thickness, on the surface of the sleeve member, to provide an uniform developer thickness in the width direction. The cleaning device includes a toner removing device for removing residual toner from the electrostatographic material, a toner collecting chamber and a toner conveying passage extending from the toner recovery housing to the toner collecting chamber. The toner removing device includes a cleaning blade which, when the process unit is mounted at a predetermined position in the image-forming machine, is moved from a non-operative position away from the electrostatographic material to an operative position wherein it is brought elastically into contact with the electrostatographic material. A toner conveying device having a coil is disposed in the toner conveying passage.

摘要： An image-forming machine including a main body of the machine having a lower housing and an upper housing mounted on the lower housing pivotably between an open position and a closed position, and a process unit detachably mounted on the lower housing on the main body. The lower housing has a supporting-guiding device mounted pivotably between an elevated position and a lowered position, a holding device pivotably mounted between a holding position at which the supporting-guiding device is held at the elevated position and a release position at which the supporting-guiding device is permitted to move to the lowered position, and a biasing position for elastically biasing the holding device at the holding position. The process unit has a first unit and a second unit. The supporting-guiding device positioned at the elevated position can be mounted on and detached from the first unit. The second unit is separably combined with the first unit. The first unit includes a developing device, and the second unit includes a rotating drum having a photosensitive member disposed on the surface.

摘要： An area setting device for setting coordinates of two points in a diagonal direction in one or more areas to be copied by a photocopier utilizing key operation in sequence, in which different colors are used for coordinate display in each direction. The same colors as the coordinate displays are used for coordinate input indicators. All the points are memorized as to whether coordinates have been applied. A key input is accepted for the first point not having coordinates applied, and this converts the memorized condition. Key input acceptance and memory state conversion are repeated for all the points required.
