Abstract: A toner cartridge includes a container for storing toner to be supplied to an image forming apparatus. The container extends in a longitudinal direction and includes two walls at ends thereof in the longitudinal direction. One of the walls has a first outlet. The toner cartridge includes a paddle rotatable between the walls of the container to stir the toner and removable from the container through the first outlet. The toner cartridge includes a first lid for covering the first outlet. The first lid has a first bearing hole through which an end of the paddle is rotatably held.

Abstract: A toner cartridge includes a toner accommodating unit including first and second accommodating portions and includes a light transmitting portion having an incident surface and an emergent surface. The toner accommodating unit includes first and second end portions with respect to a first direction and includes third and fourth end portions with respect to a second direction crossing the first direction. The first accommodating portion is provided with a discharge opening, and the second accommodating portion is provided with a receiving opening. The discharge opening and the receiving opening are positioned closer to the third end portion than to the fourth end portion in the second direction. The incident surface and the emergent surface are provided in positions closer to the fourth end portion than to the third end portion in the second direction and are exposed to an outside of the cartridge.

When the developing cartridge pivotally moves relative to the drum frame from a first position in which the lever faces a portion of the developing cartridge in a first direction with a gap between the lever and the portion of the developing cartridge to a second position in which the lever is in contact with the portion of the developing cartridge in a state where the developing cartridge is attached to the drum frame, the lever causes the developing cartridge to move from the second position to the first position by an urging force of the urging member.

Abstract: An image forming apparatus includes a first unit including an image bearing member and a second unit. The second unit includes a developing roller to supply the toner to the image bearing member, a mounting portion in which the replenishing container is dismountably mounted, and an accommodating portion to accommodate the toner replenished from the replenishing container. The second unit is movable between a first position where the developing roller contacts the image bearing member and a second position where the developing roller separates from the image bearing member. When a moving direction in which the second unit moves from the first position toward the second position is defined as a separating direction, the second unit is urged in the separating direction by a force which the mounting portion receives from the replenishing container when the replenishing container is mounted to the mounting portion.

Abstract: A replaceable imaging unit according to one example embodiment includes a photoconductor unit positioned at the front of a housing of the imaging unit. First and second alignment guides extend outward at the same height from first and second sides of the housing, respectively, on the photoconductor unit and run parallel to each other along a front-to-rear dimension of the housing. Each of the first and second alignment guides includes a front contact member at a front end thereof and a rear contact member at a rear end thereof. The front contact members are positioned further outward sideways than the rear contact members. Bottom surfaces of the front and rear contact members are unobstructed to permit the bottom surfaces of the front and rear contact members to sit on top of corresponding guide rails in the image forming device to control a vertical position of the imaging unit.
