    Abstract: In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE receives, through a non-physical layer signaling, a configuration indicating to receive a first reference signal in a set of OFDM symbols in a first slot. The UE attempts to detect a physical layer signaling in the first slot or in a second slot prior to the first slot. The UE refrains from conducting measurements of the first reference signal, when the physical layer signaling is detected by the UE and includes a first indication.

    Abstract: Various solutions for capability reporting to support small data transmission (SDT) on a bandwidth part (BWP) for user equipment (UE) are described. An apparatus may transmit UE capability information to a wireless node of a wireless network. The UE capability information may indicate that the apparatus supports using a BWP with a condition of synchronization signal block (SSB) association for SDT. The apparatus may also receive a configuration associated with the BWP for SDT from the wireless node. The configuration may be configured based on the UE capability information. The apparatus may further initiate an SDT procedure on the BWP according to the configuration.

    Abstract: A method for UE capability signaling to support NR-U is proposed. A UE transfers UE capability information to a mobile communication network, and the UE capability information includes information regarding whether the UE supports system information acquisition on an unlicensed cell. The UE receives configuration from a serving cell of the mobile communication network, and the configuration includes information for system information acquisition of one or more unlicensed cells on a frequency. The UE acquires system information of the one or more unlicensed cells on the frequency and reports the acquired system information to the serving cell, or stores the acquired system information in the UE.

    Abstract: A User Equipment (UE) including a wireless transceiver and a controller is provided. The wireless transceiver performs wireless transmission and reception to and from a service network. The controller initiates a random access procedure with the service network by controlling the wireless transceiver to perform wireless transmission using at least one of: a random access preamble configured for System Information (SI) request, and a corresponding Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) time-frequency resource allocated for the random access preamble. Also, the controller receives a random access response, which includes a Random Access Preamble Identifier (RAPID) only and does not include a Timing Advance (TA) command, an uplink grant, and a temporary Cell Radio Network Temporary Identifier (C-RNTI), from the service network via the wireless transceiver.
