At least a portion of the potential contact surface area includes an adhesive surface. The stretch releasing adhesive tape in the uncompressed state can operate as a pull tab. Abstract: An adhesive tape construction is removable from one or more objects to which it is adhered and which is reusably separable within its construction so that an object can be separated from another and subsequently reconnected with one another. The adhesive tape construction can be used to bond the other opposed surfaces of objects, including rigid objects such as a picture frame to a wall, where no portion of the adhesive tape construction projects from between the objects, and which subsequently affords easy separation of the objects without damage to either of them. More specifically, the adhesive tape construction includes a stretch release adhesive tape structure combined with a reusable connector surface.

Abstract: A tape laminate adapted to support or locate an object along a substrate. The tape laminate comprises a support layer of strong, flexible, conformable, essentially non stretchable material having firmly attached thereto an attachment strip comprising a layer of stretch release adhesive defining an exposed major surface that is adapted to adhere the attachment strip to the substrate. In one embodiment, consisting only of the conformable support layer and the attachment strip, the tape laminate can be used to support or locate an object along a substrate (e.g., along a vertical wall) by conforming the tape laminate to the contour of portions of the object and of the wall and adhering a part of the layer of stretch release adhesive to each of those portions. In other embodiments, the tape laminate further includes means such as separable fasteners, twist ties, cable ties, elastic bands, or hooks for facilitating engagement of objects to be supported or located by the tape laminate.

Abstract: An article support adapted for adhering to a substrate is described. The article support preferably includes a base member, a stretch release adhesive tape adhered to that base member, and some mechanism for gripping the stretch release adhesive tape. These items are arranged so that when the base member is adhered to the substrate by the stretch release adhesive tape, the base member can be removed by pulling on the gripping means at an acute angle from the surface of the substrate. Gripping means which resist disassociation from the stretch release adhesive tape during the removal of the base from the substrate are disclosed, including handle types. The base member can be generic, suitable for attaching various types of support members via, for example, complimentary dovetail slides. In such cases, provision such as a latch can be made to temporarily lock the support member to the base member. The article support can be provided so that when the support member is removed from the base member, the gripping mechanism engages the support member to automatically stretch the tape and remove the base member from the substrate.

Abstract: An adhesive article adapted for removable mounting on a support surface includes a stretch release adhesive tape strip and a base member. The adhesive article includes an abutment adapted to engage the support surface when the article is pressed against the support surface, and thereby prevents the base member from rebonding to the adhesive strip. The abutment thereby allows the article to be pressed against the support surface during removal to hold the article in place without interfering with the removal process. The abutment can be projections protruding from the base member on opposite sides of the adhesive strip, a pair of side walls extending longitudinally along the adhesive strip, a flexible abutment tab extending from the base member which can be manually pressed against the support surface, a projection arranged adjacent the adhesive strip which engages the support surface and acts as a fulcrum when the user applies pressure to a particular location of the base member, or a portion of an article support member which is slidably connected with the base member.
