摘要: An arrangement is provided for variably adjusting the effective flow area along a region within a water injection propulsion unit. The invention is adapted to be embodied in a small watercraft of the type that is designed to be operated by a single rider sitting in straddle fashion on the watercraft. The flow area adjustments may be made in response to the value of a selected operating variable, or several variables, which may be measured during the operation of the watercraft. The invention allows attainment of optimum accelerability at low to medium speeds, and optimum accelerability and top speed at high speeds.

摘要: A jet-propelled craft includes a hull, an engine installed within the hull, a duct positioned in the stern area of said hull, and an impeller which is turned by the rotational force of the engine to create a jet stream within the duct. The craft also includes left and right secondary water-intake openings on the bottom of the hull which are positioned a specific distance apart on the left and right in the hull, the duct including branches connected to the left and right secondary water-intake openings. By equipping the secondary water-intake openings with a valve which closes when a sharp turn is made in the above mentioned boat and the valve is on the outside with respect to the direction of the turn, air is prevented from entering the outside secondary duct and a loss of propulsive force is prevented.

摘要: An information processing device stores an extracted feature of each inspection item of the process inspection, and a determination result of a final inspection in a memory device, calculates a separation degree between a distribution of features of products which were determined as good products at the final inspection and a distribution of features of products which were determined as defective products at the final inspection for every inspection item or every combination of inspection items based on data of the products stored in the memory device, selects an inspection item whose inspection standard is to be reset from the inspection items or the combinations of the inspection items based on a value of the separation degree. Thus providing a method of appropriately setting an inspection standard for detecting a defect sign during process inspection. Further a process inspection device and inspection standard setting device which implements the same.

摘要: Provided is a cathode material for a lithium secondary battery composed of an aggregate of Li-A-O composite oxide particles (wherein A represents one or more metal elements selected from Mn, Fe, Co and Ni), wherein the lithium composite oxide contains 20 to 100 ppm (by mass) of P, and the total content of impurity elements excluding essential components is 2000 ppm or less. Also provided is a manufacturing method of such a cathode material for a lithium secondary battery including the steps of suspending lithium carbonate in water and thereafter introducing a metallic salt solution of one or more metal elements selected from Mn, Fe, Co and Ni in the lithium carbonate suspension, adding a small amount of phosphoric acid so that the P content in the Li-A-O composite oxide particles will be 20 to 100 ppm (by mass), and forming an aggregate of Li-A-O composite oxide particles containing 20 to 100 ppm (by mass) of P by filtering, cleansing, drying and thereafter oxidizing the obtained carbonate. This cathode material for a lithium secondary battery and its manufacturing method realize improved sinterability and battery characteristics.

摘要: A factor estimating support device supports estimation of factor from a result generated in a production system. In the factor estimating support device, material/environment history data and test history data acquired from the production system, and the causality structure data indicating causality between the plurality of variables are stored in the storage unit, where when determined that the final quality characteristic is abnormal in the final quality abnormal detecting part, determination is made on whether each variable other than the final quality characteristic is abnormal in the variable abnormality detecting part, and the determination result is reflected on a visible image in which the causality structure data is visualized in the visible image creating part.

摘要: A jet pump system for a water jet propelled boat is disclosed that provides for the adjustment of the area of the water intake opening or the water entry angle as a function of the speed of the boat. During low speed operation, the water inlet opening is adjusted to a maximum area, or the water entry angle is adjusted to a maximum angle to enable sufficient water to enter the water duct and permit efficient impeller operation. As the boat speed increases beyond a predetermined speed, the water inlet area is reduced, or the water inlet angle is reduced to prevent excess water from entering the water duct, thereby reducing the drag on the boat.

摘要: A water jet propelled boat is equipped with a water intake opening, a water jet outlet, and with a mixed flow type impeller, where the above mentioned water intake opening and the above mentioned water jet outlet are connected by a water passage with the impeller in the middle of the water passage, and where the operation of the impeller causes water to be drawn into the water intake opening and expelled through the above mentioned water outlet to propel the boat. The impeller structure is such that a boss section of the impeller has a plurality fins affixed to it, the outside edges of the above mentioned spiral fins are roughly parallel to the axial center of the above mentioned boss, and, the leading and the trailing edges of the fins, with respect to the axial center of the above described boss, slant down toward the above mentioned water outlet opening. At the same time relative speeds, the invention allows a smaller diameter fin unit and, at speeds of 4,000 rpm and over, it offers improved efficiency.
