摘要： A printer, for printing on continuous recording paper, includes tractors disposed in the recording paper feed path of the printer, with each of the tractors circumferentially travelling in synchronism with movement of the continuous recording paper when the tractors engage feed holes of the continuous paper. When no printing operation is performed, travel of the tractors can be prevented by operation of an electromagnetic clutch, or a combination of one way clutches. Further, the printer uses an electrophotographic method wherein when no printing operation is performed, a transfer charger or fixing roller can be retracted from an operational position. A lever, associated with movement of the transfer charge or fixing roller, is pressed against and locked with the pulley fixed to the rotating shaft of each of the tractors to thereby prohibit the movement of the tractor. Further, a swingable arm can be provided having an engaging projection capable of being locked with the feed holes of the continuous recording paper. The swingable arm is swung in association with the movement of the transfer charger or fixing roller, which can be retracted from the operational position when no printing operation is performed. Thus, the engaging projection is engaged with the feed hole of the continuous recording paper to thereby regulate the movement of the continuous recording paper.

摘要： A feeding unit for a continuous form recording medium, having a feed roller, a drive motor, a first transmitting system, a second transmitting system, is provided. The first transmitting system is adapted to transmit rotating force from the drive motor to the feed roller so that the feed roller is rotated in a normal feeding direction to carry the continuous form recording medium and to allow the feed roller to be rotated in the normal feeding direction by external force. The second transmitting system is adapted to transmit the rotating force from the drive motor to the feed roller so that the feed roller is rotated in a reverse feeding direction. The switching system transmits stalling torque of the drive motor to the feed roller associated by the second transmitting system before and after the continuous form recording medium is processed through an image forming operation.

摘要： A color printer includes a single laser scanning unit which is controlled to emit a scanning laser in accordance with color image data on each of a plurality of separated colors to be printed. A plurality of photosensitive drums, whose number corresponds to the number of colors to be printed, a laser scanning unit driver which moves the laser scanning unit to transfer positions corresponding to the photosensitive drums, and a plurality of developing units corresponding to the photosensitive drums are provided, to develop latent images drawn on the photosensitive drums by the laser emitted from the laser scanning unit, using a toner of each color. An endless transfer belt has a transfer surface which is successively moved to the transfer positions, and a transfer device which successively transfers the toner images developed by the developing units on the photosensitive drums, onto the same transfer surface of the transfer belt are also provided.

摘要： A doctor blade mounting structure for mounting a doctor blade to a main body of a development device is provided, which includes a development roller which is rotatably arranged in the main body and on the outer circumferential surface of which a magnetic brush is formed.
