摘要： Provided is an image forming system where a plurality of image forming apparatuses for printing an image on a sheet based on a job, and outputting the image are connected with one another in a communicable manner, including a communication unit to carry out the communication, and a control unit to manage the job, and control the communication unit, where the control unit divides the job for sequentially processing a plurality of steps into a plurality of divided step jobs, executes a former part of the divided step jobs on an image forming apparatus which can execute the former part of the divided step jobs, and reserves a latter part of the divided step jobs on an image forming apparatus which can execute the latter part of the divided step jobs, and is different from the image forming apparatus, thereby enabling efficient execution of the job.

摘要： A sheet conveying apparatus is connected between an image forming apparatus and a post-processing apparatus to receive the sheet ejected from the image forming apparatus, and to eject the sheet to the post-processing apparatus. The sheet conveying apparatus receives, from the post-processing apparatus, a sheet reception line speed information showing a line speed for the post-processing apparatus to receive the sheet, and receives, from the image forming apparatus, a sheet ejection line speed information showing a line speed for the image forming apparatus to eject the sheet. A conveyance line speed control section controls the conveyance line speed at the time of receiving the sheet from the image forming apparatus based on a sheet ejection line speed information, and controls the conveyance line speed at the time of ejecting the sheet to the post-processing apparatus based on a sheet reception line speed information.

摘要： A system for controlling data transmission comprises at least two control devices, a first common communication line to which each of the at least two control devices is connected, and a plurality of operation devices for carrying out respective processing operations. Each of the at least two control devices is connected with a different one of the plurality of operation devices and is provided with a priority rank depending on the one of the operation devices connected thereto. And each of the at least two control devices comprises: (i) a memory for storing at least one of command data and status data corresponding to the one of the operation devices connected thereto, (ii) a priority rank discriminator for discriminating whether a right to transmit data is requested by another one of the control devices having a higher priority rank, and (iii) a transmitter for transmitting the data stored in the memory to the first common communication line only if the priority rank discriminator discriminates that the right to transmit data has not been requested by another one of the control devices having the higher priority rank.
