Abstract: A deformation detection sensor that includes a conductive member, a plurality of thermoplastic resin layers, and a piezoelectric film. At least one of the thermoplastic resin layers has a main surface, and the conductive member is formed on the main surface thereof. The plurality of thermoplastic resin layers are laminated and integrally formed by hot pressing into a laminated body. A transmission line is formed form a first portion of the conductive member and the thermoplastic resin in the laminated body. The piezoelectric film is attached to the laminated body to form a piezoelectric element made of a second portion of the conductive member, the thermoplastic resin in the laminated body, and the piezoelectric film.

Abstract: A pressing sensor is provided that includes a first sensor element that outputs a voltage corresponding to an amount of displacement in shape of a receiving unit that receives a press operation; a press operation determining unit that determines whether the receiving unit is in a state of receiving a press operation; and a setting unit that, after elapse of a first prescribed time from a point of time at which the press operation determining unit determines that the receiving unit has received a press operation, sets an absolute value of a threshold that is smaller than an absolute value of the threshold before elapse of the first prescribed time, the absolute value of the threshold representing a difference from a ground voltage value for determining whether the receiving unit has ended reception of the press operation.

Abstract: A housing includes a side wall that includes a button region that receives a pressing operation and a bottom wall that cooperates with the side wall to define a cavity. The bottom wall has first and second regions in which the first region is more easily displaced in response to the pressing operation than the second region. A press sensor is disposed on the bottom wall in the cavity and extends across portions of the first and second regions. A slit is located in the bottom wall between the side wall and the second region and causes the first region to be more easily displaced in response to the pressing operation than the second region.

Abstract: A display device includes a housing, an operation plate, an electrostatic sensor, a piezoelectric sensor, a controller, a storage unit, a display, and a communication unit. When an output voltage of the piezoelectric sensor indicates a first voltage value (Vth1) or larger, the controller determines that the piezoelectric sensor has detected a change in a first pressing force and performs first processing. When an output voltage of the piezoelectric sensor indicates a second voltage value (Vth2) or larger, the controller determines that the piezoelectric sensor has detected a change in a second pressing force. When the piezoelectric sensor detects the change in the second pressing force and the electrostatic sensor continuously detects a touch during a period from the detection of the first pressing force to the detection of the second pressing force, the controller executes second processing.
