Abstract: A displacement sensor having a rectangular shaped elastic member. A piezoelectric element is attached to a first main face of the elastic member. The piezoelectric element has a rectangular-shaped piezoelectric sheet and electrodes on both main faces of the piezoelectric sheet. The piezoelectric sheet is made of poly-L-lactic acid and is at least uniaxially-stretched. The piezoelectric element is attached so that the uniaxial-stretching direction of the piezoelectric sheet is 45° relative to a long-side direction of the elastic member. When the elastic member is bent along the long-side direction, the piezoelectric sheet is stretched along the long-side direction, and the piezoelectric element generates voltage of predetermined level.

Abstract: An electronic device with pressing input function has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped housing. In the housing, a pressing sensor, a display panel, a protection member, and a computation circuit module are arranged. In the display panel, a polarization plate is arranged on a first side of a liquid crystal panel. In the pressing sensor, electrodes are formed on both planar faces of a piezoelectric film having double refractivity. The pressing sensor is arranged on the operation surface (the display face) side of the housing relative to the front polarization plate.

Abstract: A press detecting sensor that includes an operation receiving member and a piezoelectric sensor. The operation receiving member is a multilayer rigid plate including a cover glass, a touch sensor and a display panel fixed via first bonding agents. Abstract: A displacement detection device includes a piezoelectric sensor. The piezoelectric sensor is provided with a piezoelectric sheet on both principal surfaces of which detection electrodes are formed. When stress is applied to the piezoelectric sensor, charge is generated, and an output voltage in accordance with this generated charge is detected in a DC voltage detector. A controller measures this output voltage at a predetermined time interval. Every time the controller measures the output voltage, the controller makes a short-circuit control of a switch, and causes the charge generated in the piezoelectric sensor to be released. The controller can thereby detect an amount of change in output voltage generated at the predetermined time interval in accordance with an amount of displacement of the piezoelectric sensor. By sequentially integrating this, the controller can accurately detect the amount of displacement of the piezoelectric sensor which changes across measurement timings.

Abstract: A pressing force sensor that includes a sensor element configured with a piezoelectric film, a lead terminal for connection to an external circuit, a wiring conductor which connects pressing force detection electrodes and the lead terminal, and a flexible printed circuit board which withstands solder reflow temperatures. The flexible printed circuit board has the pressing force detection electrodes formed on a first principal surface thereof, and is folded via a folding line while the first principal surface faces inward. The sensor element is deflected by a pressing force applied to a second principal surface which faces outward and is in a first area of the flexible printed circuit board which is on one side with respect to the folding line, and a signal corresponding to the pressing force is thus taken out from the pressing force detection electrodes.

Abstract: A capacitor is coupled in parallel with a piezoelectric unit in a sensor. The piezoelectric unit is formed by a film which is sandwiched between a signal electrode and a reference potential electrode. A capacitor is formed by a dielectric film located between the signal electrode and a reference potential electrode. As a result, the capacitance of the sensor element is higher than it would be if the sensor only contained the piezoelectric unit.

Abstract: A display device includes a housing, an operation plate, an electrostatic sensor, a piezoelectric sensor, a controller, a storage unit, a display, and a communication unit. When an output voltage of the piezoelectric sensor indicates a first voltage value (Vth1) or larger, the controller determines that the piezoelectric sensor has detected a change in a first pressing force and performs first processing. When an output voltage of the piezoelectric sensor indicates a second voltage value (Vth2) or larger, the controller determines that the piezoelectric sensor has detected a change in a second pressing force. When the piezoelectric sensor detects the change in the second pressing force and the electrostatic sensor continuously detects a touch during a period from the detection of the first pressing force to the detection of the second pressing force, the controller executes second processing.
