Abstract: An image display apparatus includes a light source, a display device, an at least one illumination prism, and an at least one eyepiece optic. The light source emits illumination light. The display device modulates the illumination light and emits the modulated light as image light. The illumination light emitted from the light source is incident on the illumination prism.
