    Abstract: A brake disc release device, a turning device, and an elevator rescue package and method. The brake disc release device comprises: an actuating mechanism; a gear connected to a first end of the actuating mechanism; a first slider capable of sliding along a first guide piece and comprising a rack portion for engagement with the gear and a first wedge portion; a second slider capable of sliding along a second guide piece and comprising a second wedge portion for engagement with the first wedge portion of the first slider; and a pulling cable having a first end connected to the second slider and a second end connected to the brake disc.

    Abstract: Elevator systems include an elevator car and a roller guide associated therewith. A roller is supported on a frame of the roller guide and configured to rotate along a guide rail and limit movement of the elevator car in a first direction. A motion state sensing assembly is mounted to the roller guide and configured to measure a motion state of the elevator car. The motion state sensing assembly includes an optical target located on the roller and an optical encoder device and associated a processor arranged to direct optical energy toward the optical target and detect a response thereof. A sensor housing is mounted to the roller guide with the optical encoder device arranged within the housing. A communication assembly is in communication with the processor and an elevator controller for communication therebetween.

    Abstract: An elevator load weighing system (100) includes a brake assembly (104) configured to apply a braking force that inhibits vertical movement of an elevator car (106), and rotate in response to realizing a torque applied thereto. A position monitoring mechanism (112) is coupled to the brake assembly (104) and is configured to output a position signal in response to a rotation of the brake assembly (104). An electronic elevator control module (102) is configured to determine a zero-torque position of the brake assembly (104) prior to engaging the brake assembly (104). The electronic elevator control module (102) is further configured to detect at least one rotational brake displacement of the brake assembly (104) based on the position signal.
