    摘要: A vibrating transducer includes a rigid housing; an electric motor enclosed within the rigid housing and having attached thereto an eccentric weight; and wherein the electric motor is supported within the rigid housing by a flexible motor mount. The rigid housing is preferably a cylindrically shaped tube. The flexible motor mount may be formed of a foam cushion wrapped substantially about the electric motor. A driver circuit, which may include may include a current amplifier or timing sub-circuits, may be provided for facilitating operation of the electric motor.

    摘要: An apparatus for detecting Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) in a patient includes a computer based device, a device disposed on a predetermined position on a calf of the patient for measuring blood volume, another device for measuring temperature of the calf and still another device for measuring calf size. A cuff is operably connected to the computer based device and envelops a portion of a thigh of the patient and is controllably restrictable by the computer based device to produce a controlled venous occlusion of the patient's deep veins for a predetermined period. A method for detecting DVT using the device is also provided.

    摘要: A tampon and therapeutic delivery device is disclosed and includes a generally cylindrical applicator tube defining a cartridge within which a tampon is slidably received for ejection through one end of the cartridge. A generally hollow cylindrical plunger member is slidably received within an opposite end of the cartridge for ejecting the tampon therefrom. A cannabinoid-infused disintegrable carrier material is partially embedded in and movably held by the tampon for intravaginal delivery when ejected from the cartridge, whereupon the cannabinoid agent is released into the vagina and absorbed through the vaginal mucosa to provide relief of dysmenorrhea. The cartridge has a plurality of slots to permit pre-lubrication of the tampon, if desired, prior to insertion into the vaginal cavity. The system delivers a higher concentration to the muscle of the uterus, the primary site for the dyskinetic muscle contraction, which is the pathophysiologic cause of dysmenorrhea.

    摘要: A response to an advertisement driven stimulus is effected by locating a portable Mixed Reality (MR) device at a terrestrial position at a point in time; identifying a fixed point advertisement in proximity to the portable MR device based upon the device's terrestrial position; and providing a response specific to the fixed point advertisement. The point in time is determined by a signal from the portable MR device with respect to an advertisement, whereafter the MR device is located by receiving a navigational signal. Communication is automatically established with a central data server where the fixed point advertisement is identified by comparing the terrestrial position of the portable MR device with a plurality of tabulated positions of fixed point advertisements. A unique identifier associated with the portable MR device and position of the device are utilized by the data server to tailor a specific response to the advertisement based stimulus.
