    摘要: Provided is a reel capable of improving the rigidity of the hub and maintaining the tape characteristics. A single resin layer 36 lying below an aluminum ring 112 in an axial direction of the reel hub 32 and having a wall thickness t2 of 0.8-1.7 mm can suppress the partial rigidity reduction of the reel hub 32. This can suppress the partial characteristic deterioration of a recording tape T wound on the reel hub 32 (partial broadening of the width of the recording tape T, etc.). Besides, crack occurrence can be reduced in the single resin layer 114 of the reel hub 32.

    摘要: A resin ring is integrally formed on an outer peripheral face of a metal ring to form a hub. On a lower end portion side of the resin ring, a step portion exposing the metal ring is formed. A positioning portion with which the step portion of the hub can be fitted is formed at a central portion of a lower flange. Positions in a height direction of lower end faces of the resin ring and the metal ring are different from each other. Even if a minute gap exists between the metal ring and a metal mold for molding the hub and fluid resin flows into the gap to produce a burr, the burr does not reach the lower end face of the metal ring. Therefore, variations due to the burr do not occur in the lower end face of the hub for positioning in dimension of product.

    摘要: At a reel, an outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical tube portion of a reel hub is a tape winding surface around which a magnetic tape is wound. In a free state, the tape winding surface forms a substantial taper shape in which an outer diameter is greater at an upper end portion side where a radial direction rigidity is relatively low, than at a lower end portion side where the rigidity is high. In a state in which a magnetic tape is wound, the tape winding surface can form a shape that is substantially symmetrical with respect to a transverse direction of the magnetic tape. As a result, the reel and a recording tape cartridge are obtained in which the outer peripheral surface of the hub forms a proper shape in a state in which a recording tape is wound.

In this case, the anisotropic layer is laminated so that the high rigidity modulus orientation direction is different according to layer.

    摘要: A recording tape cartridge is disclosed wherein when in non-use, a reel accommodated in a case and having a recording tape wound thereon is prevented from rotating by being meshed with a braking member which is non-rotatble with reference to the case; and when in use, in response to the braking member being pushed up by a release pad or a clutch member, the reel is released from the meshed state and allowed to rotate together with the release pad or the clutch member. With the rotation of the reel, the braking member has its pivot portion disposed in sliding contact with a sliding contact portion formed at a portion corresponding to an axial center of the release pad or the clutch member while being pressed against the sliding contact portion by a biasing force of a compression coil spring. The recording tape cartridge is designed such that a relation μ×L≦0.4 holds between a length L (mm) of the compression coil spring along the axis line of the reel when the reel rotates together with the release pad or the clutch member and a coefficient of dynamic friction μ between the pivot portion of the braking member and the sliding contact portion of the release pad or the clutch member.
