摘要： A release member molding method for mounting a metallic plate in a main body of a release member by insert-molding. The release member is to be provided to be integrally rotatable with a reel accommodated in a case, and to move a locking member from a locking position that locks rotation of the reel to an allowing position that allows rotation of the reel. The metallic plate touches a sliding protrusion portion of the locking member at a touching surface of the release member. The release member molding method includes an arranging step of arranging the metallic plate in a die and a molding step of charging a resin material into the die and molding the main body in which the metallic plate is mounted. The die contacts a portion of the metallic plate that excludes the touching surface, and the die does not contact the touching surface.

摘要： A recording tape cartridge includes a reel including a reel hub having an outer diameter of an upper end portion which is smaller than that of a lower end portion, and including a lower flange in which plural through holes are radially formed. Inclined surfaces, formed at one edge portion and another edge portion of each of the through holes, are directed toward a flange circumferential direction. The one edge portion is directed in a rotational direction of the reel, when a recording tape is wound on the reel. The other edge portion is directed in the rotational direction when the recording tape is led out of the reel. An inclination angle with respect to a bottom surface of the lower flange of the inclined surface at the one edge portion is smaller than that of the inclined surface of the other edge portion.

摘要： A leader pin is fabricated by die-casting, is attached to a free-end portion of a recording tape, and is drawn out through an opening formed in a case. A plate spring retains axial direction both end portions of the leader pin such that the leader pin does not fall from inside the case. When the leader pin is being mounted at or removed from the case, the plate spring is pushed by the end portions and resiliently deforms, and allows the mounting or removal operation of the leader pin. A flat surface portion is formed at the leader pin so as to remove parting line portion of the leader pin. The leader pin is attached to the free-end portion at an angle relative to a tension direction of the free-end portion, such that the flat surface portions formed at the end portions do not contact with the plate spring.

摘要： At a reel, an outer peripheral surface of a cylindrical tube portion of a reel hub is a tape winding surface around which a magnetic tape is wound. In a free state, the tape winding surface forms a substantial taper shape in which an outer diameter is greater at an upper end portion side where a radial direction rigidity is relatively low, than at a lower end portion side where the rigidity is high. In a state in which a magnetic tape is wound, the tape winding surface can form a shape that is substantially symmetrical with respect to a transverse direction of the magnetic tape. As a result, the reel and a recording tape cartridge are obtained in which the outer peripheral surface of the hub forms a proper shape in a state in which a recording tape is wound.
