摘要: System performance may be optimized, and extraneous audit noise reduced, by providing the capability of exercising a fine degree of control over individual audit events. A user such as an auditor interested in an individual audit event can obtain desired results without also obtaining results of all other individual audit events in the category containing the individual audit event. Additionally, audits may be obtained on either a per-user basis or on a system-wide basis. In this way, the auditor may tailor auditing events without regard to the auditing events established for other users of the system. Thus, there is a capability of establishing auditing policies for the entire system, in which case all users of the system may obtain results of the system-wide auditing.

摘要: A method and system for improving the working set of a program image. The working set (WS) improvement system of the present invention employs a two-phase technique for improving the working set. In the first phase, the WS improvement system inputs the program image and outputs a program image with the locality of its references improved. In the second phase, the WS improvement system inputs the program image with its locality of references improved and outputs a program image with the placement of its basic blocks in relation to page boundaries improved so that the working set is reduced.

摘要: A method of processing barcoded tickets in a document processing device including receiving a stack of barcoded tickets in an input receptacle of a document processing device. Each barcoded ticket includes a document-identifier or ticket number that identifies the barcoded ticket. At least one specific document-identifier is inputted by the operator to search for a specific document in a stack of documents. Each of the documents are transported, one at a time, past a detector, which detects the document-identifier of each ticket. A determination is made whether a detected document-identifier matches the specific document-identifier requested by the operator, and if so, the ticket in question is directed to a pre-programmed or user-specified output receptacle.

摘要: Optical wave guides are interconnected with the use of two interfitting shell parts which when fitted together form a continuous tubular channel for receiving the wave guides between there. For this purpose a carrier shell part is provided with a continuous longitudinal groove of a size to accommodate a cover shell part and each part has a longitudinally extending receiving channel portion of complementary form which fit together and form a continuous receiving channel for the optical wave guides which are to be interconnected. After the wave guides are placed end to end in the longitudinally extending wave guide receiving channels defined in the carrier shell, a cover shell is engaged over the carrier shell in a manner which positions it complementary optical wave guide channel with the wave guide channel defined on the carrier shell portion. Wave guide channels are advantageously made with curved up portions at respective ends of the interfitting carrier shell and cover shell. Advantageously, the cover shell has terminal rib portions which engage over weak edges of the outer surface of the wave guide carrier shell.
