Abstract:
A cartridge mountable on a liquid ejection device is provided. The liquid ejection device includes a mounting section, an air supplying portion including an air supplying passage, and a detection section configured to detect an error when a predetermined air pressure is not reached even if air is supplied from the air supplying portion. The cartridge includes a case including a communication portion and a first leakage limiting portion that limits leakage of air supplied from the air supplying portion into an atmosphere. The communication portion includes a second leakage limiting portion that limits leakage of the air supplied from the air supplying portion into the case through the communication portion.
Abstract:
A cartridge has a terminal disposition wall portion where a plurality of cartridge side terminals are disposed so as to form an inclined surface facing a direction including a components in −Y and +Z directions. The terminal disposition wall portion includes a first protruding portion and a second protruding portion provided further in the −Y direction than a second wall constituting a pressurization chamber, a first extending portion extending in the −Y direction from the first protruding portion, and a second extending portion extending in the −Y direction from the second protruding portion. A first cartridge side contact portion configured to come into contact with a first apparatus side contact portion is provided in the first extending portion. A second cartridge side contact portion configured to come into contact with a second apparatus side contact portion is provided in the second extending portion.
Abstract:
A liquid container comprises a liquid supply port provided in a bottom wall, a first chamber configured to contain a liquid, a second chamber configured to contain the liquid and to include at least one sub-chamber having a smaller dimension in the X direction than that of the first chamber, a partition wall configured to part the first chamber from the second chamber, and a connecting hole configured to connect the first chamber with the second chamber. The second chamber is connected with the liquid supply port, and the first chamber is connected with the liquid supply port via the connecting hole and the second chamber. The liquid contained in the first chamber is flowed from the connecting hole into the second chamber and is subsequently introduced through the sub-chamber to the liquid supply port.
Abstract:
A technique of enhancing attachment of a liquid supply unit to a liquid ejection device is provided. A first ink cartridge 100a and a second ink cartridge 100b are attached to a carriage 27 of a printing device 10 via a holder structure 200. Each of the first and the second ink cartridges 100a and 100b includes a circuit substrate 130 having a plurality of terminals 151 to 159 which are electrically connected with a device-side terminal assembly 250 provided on the holder structure 200. Each of the first and the second ink cartridges 100a and 100b also includes a main engagement part 120 configured to engage with a lever member 230 of the holder structure 200 as an engaged part, such as to limit motion of the circuit substrate 130 away from the holder structure 200. The circuit substrate 130 includes a first terminal 151 and a second terminal 152 located on respective ends in an array direction of the terminals. The main engagement part 120 has a width greater than an interval between contact portions CP of the first and the second terminals 151 and 152 in the array direction of the terminals.
Abstract:
A liquid supply unit is provided with a liquid supply part, an outer peripheral wall, contact portions and a positioning portion. When a plane including a portion in which the end portion of the outer peripheral wall abuts on a sealing member of a liquid ejection apparatus is referred to as a first reference plane, a direction orthogonal to the first reference plane is referred to as a Z axis direction, a direction orthogonal to the Z axis direction is referred to as an X axis direction, a direction orthogonal to the Z axis direction and the X axis direction is referred to as a Y axis direction, and a plane including the contact portions is referred to as a second reference plane, then, the positioning portion is positioned between the end portion of the outer peripheral wall and the contact portions in the X axis direction, the positioning portion is positioned between the end portion of the outer peripheral wall and the contact portions in the Z axis direction, and the second reference plane crosses the sealing member.
Abstract:
The invention provides a technique for raising the reliability of contact between contact members of a liquid ejection device and terminals of a cartridge. A cartridge is configured to be removably mounted to a liquid ejection device including a first engaging portion and a conductive contact member that has elastic force and that is arranged so as to be adjacent to the first engaging portion. The cartridge includes a terminal arranged so as to be able to come into contact with the conductive contact member, and a first hook that can be engaged with the first engaging portion.
Abstract:
A liquid supply container includes a liquid inlet/outlet portion forming member including a cylindrical portion attached to an opening end of a storage portion configured to contain liquid. An inlet/outlet portion of liquid for the storage portion is formed in the cylindrical portion, and an valve is disposed in the inlet/outlet portion. A valve body of the valve is movably accommodated in a holder member. The cylindrical portion of the liquid inlet/outlet portion forming member forms a void portion surrounding the holder member in a circumferential direction between the cylindrical portion and the holder member. A rib or a flange portion is provided for dividing the void portion into at least two portions in the circumferential direction or a moving direction of the valve body.
