    摘要: A system and method having a multimode wireless communication terminal with at least two SIM card slots for use with at least two phone numbers simultaneously online (dual standby). The system includes a main controller, a primary mode module, a secondary mode module, and an inter-system measurement module. The main controller operates the multimode wireless communication terminal in single standby or dual standby state. The primary mode module enables the primary mode of operation for the multimode wireless communication terminal. The primary mode of operation is a default mode of operation. The secondary mode module enables the secondary mode of operation for the multimode wireless communication terminal. Paging information for the primary mode of operation and the secondary mode of operation are monitored at their respective monitoring rates using a TDM method. Switching between the primary and secondary modes of operation is executed by an inter-system handover module. During the dual standby state, both the inter-system measurement and handover are initiated by the terminal itself. The multimode wireless communication terminal is used in a multimode wireless communication system.

    摘要: Wireless communications devices, methods and systems are implemented in various fashions. According to one such implementation, a method is used in a device using time-division-multiple access and multiple-mode wireless modules. Logic generates a signal indicative (304) of a first (e.g., TV) wireless module (150) being active. In a first state where the first wireless module (150) is active, a switch connects a transmitter of a second (e.g., cellular) wireless module (100) to a duplexer (202). In a second state where the first wireless module is not active, logic connects the transmitter of the second wireless module (100) to an antenna (102) while bypassing the duplexer (202). Logic connects, in the first state, the duplexer (202) to the antenna (102) and connects, in the second state, the transmitter to the antenna while bypassing the duplexer (202). The duplexer (202) connects a receiver of the second wireless module (100) to the antenna (202) and includes a transmit band pass filter designed with a rejection band near an operating band of the first wireless module (150).

    摘要: The present invention provides a CDMA based communication system with improved channel estimation capability with respect to multiple pilots transmitted via channels dedicated to the system. In one embodiment of the invention, a CDMA based communication system compares the received multiple pilots to one another and selects a pilot with the largest power level. The channel estimation is performed based on the pilot with the largest power level to derive the associated channel parameters. The information intended for the system is then demodulated, based on the associated channel parameters, to retrieve user data In another embodiment of the invention, a CDMA based communication system first performs channel estimation on each of the dedicated channels, via each of which a pilot is received by the system, to derive channel parameters associated with each channel. Then all the channel parameters are combined to derive final channel parameters. The information intended for the system is demodulated, based on the final channel parameters, to retrieve user data. In this way, more precise channel parameters can be obtained.
