Abstract: A display device includes a display panel including a first display region and a second display region surrounding the first display region, where a first pixel having a first size is disposed in the first display region, and a second pixel having a second size is disposed in the second display region, a gate driver which applies a gate signal to a gate line, a data driver which applies a data voltage to a data line, and a timing controller which controls the gate driver and the data driver. The gate line includes a first gate line connected to both the first pixel and the second pixel, and a second gate line connected only to the second pixel. The data line includes a first data line which does not transmit the data voltage to the second pixel connected to the second gate line, and a second data line which transmits the data voltage to the second pixel connected to the second gate line.

Abstract: A display apparatus including a display panel, a gate driver, a data driver, an emission driver, and a driving controller. The display panel includes a pixel including a switching element of a first type and a switching element of a second type. The driving controller determines a driving frequency of the switching element of the first type to be a first driving frequency and a driving frequency of the switching element of the second type to be a second driving frequency less than the first driving frequency in a low frequency driving mode. The driving controller determines the second driving frequency based on a difference of a luminance of a writing frame in which the data voltage is written in the pixel and a luminance of a holding frame in which the written data voltage in the pixel is maintained without writing the data voltage.

Abstract: An organic light emitting diode display device includes a display panel including a plurality of pixels, and a panel driver configured to drive the display panel. Each pixel includes a driving transistor, a compensating transistor including first and second compensating sub-transistors coupled in series between a gate node and a drain of the driving transistor, a storage capacitor, and an organic light emitting diode. The panel driver calculates an average representative gray level of input image data in a plurality of frame periods, determines a voltage level of a node controlling voltage based on the average representative gray level, and provides the node controlling voltage to each of the plurality of pixels to control a voltage of a node between the first and second compensating sub-transistors.
