    Abstract: There is provided a display device including a display panel including pixels, and a display panel driver configured to drive the display panel, wherein the display panel driver includes a timing controller configured to receive image signals and timing signals from the outside, to convert at least some of the image signals, and to output the converted image signals, wherein the image signals include first image signals corresponding to a first area in the display panel, wherein each of image signals corresponds to each of the pixels and includes a red signal, a green signal, and a blue signal, wherein the timing controller includes a signal receiver configured to receive the image signals and the timing signals, and a first converter configured to receive the first image signals from the signal receiver, to perform color weakness-compensating conversion on the first image signals, and to output the converted first image signals.

    Abstract: A display device includes: a display panel; an emission driver; a scan driver; and a timing controller. The display panel includes light emitting pixels and photosensitive pixels, where the photosensitive pixels are operated in an initialization period, a light exposure period and a sensing period. The emission driver supplies emission control signals to emission control lines connected to the light emitting pixels, based on an emission start signal. The scan driver supplies scan signals to scan lines connected to the light emitting pixels and the photosensitive pixels, based on a scan start signal. The timing controller generates the emission start signal having a single pulse of a gate-off level and the scan start signal having a single pulse of a gate-on level in a last frame period among frame periods corresponding to the light exposure period and in each of frame periods corresponding to the sensing period.

    Abstract: A display device includes a light sensing array layer (LSAL), a substrate, a selective light transmission layer (SLTL), a pixel circuit layer (PCL), a display element layer (DEL), and pixels. The LSAL includes an optical sensor to sense incident light. The substrate is on the LSAL and includes a display area (DA) including pixel areas (PAs), and a non-DA adjacent to the DA. The SLTL is disposed on the substrate and includes through-holes to form a path of light onto the optical sensor, and a light-blocking conductive pattern (LBCP) between the through-holes. The PCL is disposed on the SLTL and includes a conductive layer and an insulation layer. The DEL is disposed on the PCL and emits light. Each pixel includes a pixel circuit disposed on the PCL, and a light emitting element on the DEL in a corresponding pixel area. The LBCP is electrically connected to the conductive layer.
