摘要: A streaming communication device accurately estimates a packet which will be lost in the future. A streaming communication device which transmits or receives a stream via a router over a packet-switched network includes: accumulating unit configured to accumulate a one-way delay that is a time period between transmission and reception of a packet which includes a small segment of the stream; a detecting unit configured to detect a sign of a packet loss by identifying a tendency toward an increase in the one-way delay accumulated in the accumulating unit; and an estimating unit configured to estimate, when the sign is detected, a loss packet from a degree of the increase in the one-way delay accumulated in the accumulating unit, the loss packet being a packet which will be lost.

摘要: To transmit multimedia data in such a manner that is adaptive to the transmission capability of a receiving apparatus and/or to the congestion state of a network. In a transmitting apparatus (100), a receiver capability estimating part (102) estimates, based on feedback information from a receiving apparatus (200), a useable band. A receiver classifying part (103) classifies, based on the useable band, the receiving apparatus. A receiver list rearranging part (105) rearranges, in order of transmission capability, a receiver list where classified receiving apparatuses are listed in classes. A packet generating part (106) generates a packet having the receiver list and transmits it at an appropriate transmission rate.

摘要: A first communication terminal which communicates with a second communication terminal through a best effort network includes: a communication history storage unit in which a communication history is stored for each of the communication terminals; and a round-trip delay time calculation unit which calculates a round-trip delay time that occurs in a communication with the second communication terminal. The second communication terminal includes a target loss event rate calculation unit which calculates a target loss event rate that is to be set by the first communication terminal in a communication with the second communication terminal, based on a past transmission rate that is recorded in the communication history and has been realized in the communication with the second communication terminal, and on the round-trip delay time that occurs in the communication with the second communication terminal. The first communication terminal changes a transmission rate which is set at the present time to a target transmission rate which is calculated based on the target loss event rate and the round-trip delay time. According to the transmission rate control device, when it is determined that the bandwidth that is estimated to be available in a communication through the network is rapidly changed, the transmission rate can be changed to a target bit rate in a short time period.

摘要: It is made possible to appropriately execute packet filtering and unauthorized access detection in a situation in which mobile network communications are operated.A home agent 404A acquires IP address, port number, and media type obtained by call control of a call control proxy server 403A and sends them to a firewall 700. A packet filtering unit 400 of the firewall 700 performs packet filtering so as to allow the IP packet determined according to the IP address and port number pair to pass through. An unauthorized access monitor 701 takes out information of the corresponding media type out of the normal access determination condition previously defined for each media type, monitors a packet based on the normal access determination condition, and detects that access deviating from normal access is unauthorized access.

摘要: The present invention is to reduce consumption of band resources and delay in communication as a whole. A functional configuration of a home agent according to the present invention will be described as follows. A Mobile IP protocol process portion 902 has a function of receiving/transmitting a registration request message/registration acknowledgement message about movement of a mobile host. An explicit multicast packet process portion 903 has a function of analyzing receivers' addresses written in an explicit multicast type packet, and a function for changing the packet. In addition, the explicit multicast packet process portion 903 has a function of transferring an explicit multicast packet when the packet to be transferred is not encapsulated with an IP header addressed to CoA of a mobile host in packet transfer to a packet-undelivered host. A Mobile IP packet transfer portion 904 has a function of encapsulating an explicit multicast type packet with an IP header addressed to CoA of a mobile host and transferring the encapsulated packet to the mobile host.

摘要: An electrical connector includes an insulating housing and a retainer. The housing has a plurality of contact accommodating cavities. The retainer is moveable between a temporary locking position and a main locking position. The retainer has first retainer arms that extend into a front surface of the housing. The first retainer arms have a second locking member formed on a top surface in a vicinity of a free end of the first retainer arms and a third locking member formed on a bottom surface in substantially a center of the first retainer arms. The second and third locking members are configured to abut the housing in the temporary locking position so that the retainer is prevented from moving from the temporary locking position to the main locking position.

摘要: A connector having an engagement detecting device, comprises: a first connector housing for housing a plurality of first connector terminals; a second connector housing for housing a plurality of second connector terminals mated with the first connector terminals, and engaged with the first connector housing; a slider inserted into the first connector housing in two stages of a half engagement position and a full engagement position; and a short-circuit spring disposed within the first connector housing, for shorting electrically two adjacent mated connector terminals when the slider is inserted into the first connector housing to the half engagement position, but disconnecting electrically the same two adjacent mated connector terminals when the second connector housing is engaged with the first connector housing and thereafter the slider is further inserted into the first connector housing to the full engagement position. The short-circuit spring can apply a reaction force to the slider when the slider is further inserted to the full engagement position, thus providing a stable connector engagement detecting device while decreasing the number of parts.
