摘要： A connector has a housing (10) with cavities (11) into which terminal fittings (30) are insertable. Locks (13) in the housing (10) deform during insertion of the terminal fittings (30) into the cavities (11), but then resiliently restore to lock the terminal fittings (30) in the cavities (11). Lowered portions (12a) of a bottom wall (12) of the housing (10) face the locks (12) and prevent the locks (13) from being excessively deformed. The bottom surface of each lock (13) has a convex arcuate surface (13c) and each lowered portion (12a) of the bottom wall (12) has a recess (12b) substantially conforming to the convex arcuate surface (13c) to accommodate the convex arcuate surface (13c) when the lock (13) deforms.

摘要： A first connector housing (1) accommodates substrates (3), and pressing portions (7) extend on opposite sides of the substrates (3). Terminal fittings (5) are accommodated in the second housing (2) and are provided with contact pieces (9) for contacting foil-shaped terminals (4) on outer surfaces of the substrates (3). A contact portion (21) of each elastic contact piece (9) normally is retracted and not in contact with the corresponding terminal (4). When the housings (1, 2) are fitted to each other, the pressing portions (7) press the contact pieces (9) toward the substrates (3), thereby elastically deforming them toward the substrates (3), whereby the contact portions (21) are brought into contact with the terminals (4).

摘要： A female terminal fitting is provided with protection walls 16 to avoid interference of a male terminal fitting M and to guide the male terminal fitting M to a proper position even if it is obliquely inserted. A tongue 9 is provided at or on the bottom surface of a connecting portion 3 of a female terminal fitting F by being turned inwardly so as to be elastically deformable. Protection walls 16 project from side edges of an opening end of the connecting portion 3 in such a manner as to be opposed to each other. Slanting guide surfaces 17 extending away from each other at upper ends of the protection walls 16. When a male terminal fitting M that is inserted obliquely, is slid upward along the guide surfaces to be guided automatically to a proper position.
