    Abstract: Eyewear including a dipole antenna having a first leg and a second leg, wherein the first leg includes at least a portion of a battery, such as a conductive case of the battery. An antenna feed is coupled to the dipole antenna between the second leg and the battery. The second leg may comprise a flexible printed circuit (FPC), and the second leg is an active leg. The second leg has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion and the second portion may have the same physical length. The first portion may be dielectrically loaded with a high permittivity loaded material, and the second portion may be dielectrically loaded with a low permittivity loaded material.

    Abstract: An augmented reality system can include a headset frame wearable by a user. A window disposed in or on the headset frame can include adjacent first and second window regions. When the headset frame is worn by the user, a field of view of an eye of the user can extend through at least part of the first window region. A camera can be disposed in or on the headset frame. When the headset frame is worn by the user, the camera can have a field of view that is directed away from the user and through the second window region. A controllably dimmable filter can be located adjacent to the window in the field of view of the eye and the field of view of the camera. The controllably dimmable filter can have a controllable opacity that determines a visibility of the camera through the second window region.

    Abstract: Apparatuses and systems are disclosed and can include a case for eyewear having an eyewear body carrying onboard electronic components that comprise a heat source that generates heat during electrically powered operation is disclosed. The case can hold the eyewear when the eyewear are in a stowed position. The case can further include one or more supports to support the eyewear in the stowed position within the holding space. One or more heat sinks are integrated with the one or more supports. Each of the one or more heat sinks are thermally conductive coupled with a corresponding heat sink of the eyewear. A first heat conduction pathway is thermally connected to the one or more heat sinks and can extend into the case body to conduct heat from the heat source into the case with the eyewear supported in the stowed position.
