    Abstract: At least one information block is received from a base station of a network, the at least one information block indicating one or more first resources (511) and one or more second resources (512) for a random-access procedure, the second resources (512) being offset from the first resources (511) by a time gap (550). A preamble (2011) of the random-access procedure is transmitted to the base station using the one or more first resources (511) and data (2012) is transmitted to the base station using the one or more second resources (512).

    Abstract: A communications device transmits data in preconfigured resources of an uplink of a wireless communications network by performing a procedure to determine whether the communications device can transmit signals in the preconfigured resources of the uplink, and if the communications device determines that it can transmit signals in the preconfigured resources, transmitting signals representing the data in the preconfigured resources. The procedure to determine whether the communications device can transmit signals in the preconfigured resources of the uplink includes a transmission parameter confirmation procedure which confirms that a value of one or more transmission parameters to be used for transmitting the signals representing the data can be used for the signals representing the data to be detected by an infrastructure equipment of the wireless communications network.

    Abstract: A method of operating a terminal device to communicate with a network infrastructure equipment in a wireless telecommunications system using radio resources comprising a narrowband carrier supported within a wider system frequency bandwidth of the wireless telecommunications system, wherein the method comprises: establishing initial frequencies for radio resources comprising the narrowband carrier; receiving configuration signalling from the network infrastructure equipment providing an indication of a frequency shift to apply to the initial frequencies for the radio resources comprising the narrowband carrier; establishing shifted frequencies for the radio resources comprising the narrowband carrier by applying the indicated frequency shift to the initial frequencies; and communicating with the network infrastructure equipment using the radio resources for the narrowband carrier with the shifted frequencies.
