摘要: A color cathode ray tube apparatus is provided to reduce the amount of deflection power required, this apparatus having a panel part, on the inside surface of which is formed a phosphor film that emits three primary colors, a funnel part that has its expanded aperture joined to the panel part and a funnel-shaped part, a neck part in which is housed an electron gun structure, and which is joined to the reduced-diameter &phgr; a aperture of the funnel part, and a deflection yoke that is disposed between the funnel part and the neck part, the neck part being formed by a main part that houses the electron gun structure and a reduced-diameter part to which are attached the deflection yokes. The funnel part has a quadrangular pyramid shape at the end that is joined to the neck part, and this can also be used for attachment of the deflection yoke.

摘要: In a shadow mask type color cathode-ray tube having slot apertures that are straight in the perpendicular direction, the projections of electron beams transmitted by the slot apertures onto the fluorescent screen tend to curve in a banana-like shape with increasing proximity to the right and left sides of the screen, thereby bringing about a drop in the color interference margin and loss margin. The projection of electron beams that are transmitted by the slot apertures and strike the fluorescent screen can be made straight by boring slot apertures in advance that are curved in the direction opposite the curvature of the electron beam projection.

摘要: A shadow mask for a cathode ray tube includes through-holes defined by first and second recessed formed at first and second surfaces of the shadow mask, respectively. Each through-hole has a first wall farther away from a center of the shadow mask than a second wall thereof. The second recess has a smaller size than that of the first recess. The first wall is formed of a first wall portion defined by an inner surface of the first recess and a second wall portion defined by an inner surface of the second recess. The second wall portion of through-holes located at a peripheral region of the first region has a configuration such that electron beams reflected therefrom are directed to an inner surface of the first recess to thereby reduce electron beams reflected therefrom in directions different from a direction in which the electron beams are originally directed before the electron beams enter the shadow mask.
