摘要: A stimulable phosphor sheet bearing radiation image information recorded thereon by limitation of the irradiation field is exposed to stimulating rays and light emitted by the stimulable phosphor sheet upon stimulation is photoelectrically read out to obtain image signals representing the radiation image information borne by the stimulable phosphor sheet. The irradiation field is recognized by obtaining digital image data for a plurality of positions on the stimulable phorphor sheet from the image signals, detecting prospective edge points, which are considered to be edge portions of the irradiation field on the stimulable phosphor sheet, on the basis of the image data of positions radially outwardly arranged in a plurality of directions from a predetermined point inside the irradiation field, and recognizing as the irradiation field the region surrounded by the lines passing through the prospective edge points.

摘要: A radiation image read-out apparatus comprises a preliminary read-out device, a final read-out device, an image processor, and a condition adjuster. The condition adjuster is constituted of an operating section for calculating, from a preliminary read-out image signal, a read-out condition for use in obtaining a final read-out image signal and/or an image processing condition for use in image processing of a final read-out image signal. A judging section judges the reliability of the read-out condition and/or the image processing condition calculated by the operating section. A displaying section indicates low reliability in cases where the judging section judges that the reliability of the read-out condition and/or image processing condition is low.

摘要: A high-speed image recording apparatus comprises a sheet changer for changing a stimulable phosphor sheet at an image recording position, a radiation source drive controller, and a filter changer for changing a radiation filter on a radiation passage between a radiation source and a stimulable phosphor sheet at each image recording step. The sheet changer, the radiation source drive controller and the filter changer are activated by signals sent from a controller to load the stimulable phosphor sheet to the image recording position, to change over the radiation filter, and then to emit radiation to the stimulable phosphor sheet via an object, thereby recording a high energy image and a low energy image of good energy discrimination in stimulable phosphor sheets.

摘要: A radiation image read-out apparatus comprises a system for scanning a stimulable phosphor sheet carrying a radiation image stored thereon with stimulating rays in a main scanning direction, a system for moving the stimulable phosphor sheet with respect to the stimulating rays in a sub-scanning direction, and a photodetector for detecting light emitted by the stimulable phosphor sheet when it is exposed to stimulating rays. A stored energy signal output device receives information on the level of radiation energy stored on the stimulable phosphor sheet, and generates a signal corresponding to the information. The radiation dose at image recording is used to provide the information on the level of stored energy. A stimulation energy adjuster receives the signal generated by the stored energy signal output device, and adjusts the level of stimulation energy of stimulating rays per unit area of the stimulable phosphor sheet based on the signal.

By use of the mover 13, the radiation detector 12 is moved to a photographing position P2, P3, and projected image data D22, D23 is acquired in each of the photographing positions as is the case with the photographing position P1. A projected image data synthesizer 31 in the image processor section 30 synthesizes the projected image data D21, D22, and D23 to generate synthesized projected image data D20, which is the projected image data for the entire detection region.

摘要: From an image signal made up of a series of image signal components representing a radiation image, an abnormal pattern appearing as an approximately circular pattern in the radiation image is detected. A first finding device finds a prospective abnormal pattern appearing in the radiation image by processing the image signal with a first filter capable of finding an approximately circular pattern. A second finding device finds a linear pattern appearing in the radiation image by processing the image signal with a second filter capable of finding a linear pattern or a linear pattern the width and the length of which are approximately equal to each other. A judgment device selects an enlarged prospective abnormal pattern region in an image area, in which both the prospective abnormal pattern and the linear pattern have been found, the enlarged prospective abnormal pattern region including the prospective abnormal pattern and extending to parts around the prospective abnormal pattern. The area and the maximum width of the linear pattern falling within the enlarged prospective abnormal pattern region are then calculated. From the area and the maximum width of the linear pattern, a judgment is made as to whether the prospective abnormal pattern is or is not a true abnormal pattern.

摘要: A first image signal representing a radiation image of an object is obtained by exposing a stimulable phosphor sheet, on which the radiation image has been stored, to stimulating rays, which cause the stimulable phosphor sheet to emit light in proportion to the amount of energy stored thereon during its exposure to radiation, the emitted light being detected. A second image signal representing the radiation image is thereafter obtained by again exposing the stimulable phosphor sheet to stimulating rays, the light emitted by the stimulable phosphor sheet being detected. Read-out conditions, under which the second image signal is to be obtained, and/or image processing conditions, under which the second image signal having been obtained is to be image processed, are adjusted on the basis of the first image signal. A storage device stores information representing a standard pattern of radiation images. A signal transforming device transforms the first image signal representing the radiation image into a transformed image signal representing the radiation image, which has been transformed into the standard pattern. A condition adjuster is provided with a neural network, which receives the transformed image signal and feeds out information representing the read-out conditions and/or the image processing conditions.
