摘要： An operation support system for supporting operations performable on a machine includes circuitry to receive, from the machine, an operation support request for the machine, and information of display items and display status of the display items displayed on a display of the machine, store a plurality of operation support information for supporting the operations performable on the machine in a memory, the operation support information to be determined by the information of the display items and the display status of the display items, select at least one operation support information from the memory based on the information of the display items and the display status of the display items received from the machine, and generate screen information of an operation support screen to be displayed on the display of the machine by using the selected at least one operation support information.

摘要： A communication apparatus connected to first and second terminals via a line stores files of image data and file identification values therein, and communicates with the first terminal by transmitting/receiving the image data and/or file identification values. Since the communication apparatus allots the file identification values to each image data file to identify each file, a desired image data file can be transmitted to the first or second terminal when the first terminal transmits a predetermined instruction and a desired file identification value corresponding to the desired image data file to said communication apparatus. The present invention can be applied to a facsimile apparatus having an image memory.

摘要： A facsimile machine includes: a receiving system for receiving image information; an image memory for storing the image information received by the receiving system; a recording unit for recording the image information stored in the image memory on recording sheets; a detector for detecting first image information which has been recorded by the image recording means when the recording means interrupts the recording of the image information; and a first eraser for erasing the first image information from the image memory means, so that only a second image information which is not yet recorded by the recording means is maintained in the image memory means. And another facsimile machine further includes: a controller for supplying the second image information to the recording means when the recording means resumes recording the image information; and a second eraser for erasing the second image information from the image memory after the second image information has been entirely recorded by the recording unit.
