An escapement mechanism including a stop member between a resonator and two escape wheel sets each subjected to a torque, and each including a magnetized or ferromagnetic track over a period. The stop member includes at least one magnetized or ferromagnetic pole shoe, transversely movable with respect to travel of a surface of the track. The pole shoe or the track creates a magnetic field between the pole shoe and the surface, and the pole shoe is confronted by a magnetic field barrier on the track just before each transverse motion of the stop member actuated by the period action of the resonator. The escape wheel sets are each arranged to cooperate alternately with the stop member, and are connected to each other by a direct kinematic connection.
Abstract:
The invention concerns a device for regulating the relative angular speed between a magnetic structure and a resonator magnetically coupled to each other and forming an oscillator which defines a magnetic escapement. The magnetic structure includes at least one annular magnetic path at least partially formed of a magnetic material of which one physical parameter is correlated to the magnetic potential energy of the oscillator, the magnetic material being arranged along the annular path so that the physical parameter varies angularly in a periodic manner. The annular path includes, in each angular period, an area of accumulation of magnetic potential energy in the oscillator, radially adjacent to an impulse area. The magnetic material, in each accumulation area, is arranged so that the physical parameter of said magnetic material gradually increases angularly or gradually decreases angularly.

A timepiece escapement mechanism includes a stopper between a resonator and an escape wheel set. The wheel set includes a magnetized track with an angular period of travel over which its magnetic characteristics are repeated. The stopper includes a magnetized or ferromagnetic pole shoe that is mobile in a transverse direction relative to the direction of travel of an element of a surface of the track. The pole shoe or the track creates a magnetic field in a pole gap between the pole shoe and the surface. The pole shoe is opposite a magnetic field barrier on the track just before each transverse motion of the stopper commanded by the periodic action of this resonator. The stopper is multistable and arranged to occupy at least two stable positions.
