摘要: To provide a tensioner capable of keeping, with a simple structure, oil pressure in an oil pressure chamber stable. The tensioner includes a pressure adjusting mechanism that adjusts oil pressure in the oil pressure chamber. The pressure adjusting mechanism includes a cylinder part, a piston unit set inside the cylinder part so as to be able to approach and separate from the oil pressure chamber, and piston biasing units that bias the piston unit toward the oil pressure chamber. A liquid tight seal condition is kept between the cylinder part and the piston unit at any position between a position where the piston unit has moved closest to the oil pressure chamber and a position where the piston unit has moved closest to the adjustment space. The piston biasing units include at least two piston springs.

摘要: An object of the present invention is to provide a tensioner and a rocking lever that have simple configurations and that enable an increase in the volume of a space provided inside a plunger, the tensioner and the rocking lever being capable of preventing a stopper pin from being damaged or falling out. A plunger pin hole 121 is formed in a plunger 120 of a tensioner 100. In a tensioner body 110, a body pin hole 113 is formed in a tip protruding portion 112 provided so as to protrude from a side of an opening of the plunger housing hole 121. One of lips 154 provided on opposite sides, in a width direction, of the pressing surface 153 of a rocking lever 150 so as to protrude from the pressing surface 153, has a thinned portion 155 thinned in the width direction.

The coil spring is disposed so that one end thereof is in contact with a housing bottom portion and the other end thereof is in contact with the rear side of the check valve.

The tensioner body has an engagement member that extends toward and retracts from engagement grooves provided on the outer periphery of the plunger, a press member that presses, in one direction, a cam member which maintains and releases the extending state of the engagement member, and a hydraulic supply path through which oil is supplied to press the cam member in a direction opposite to the pressing direction of the press member.

摘要: To provide a tensioner which can circulate a sufficient amount of oil even if there is a long time lag until pressurized oil starts to be supplied, and which exhibits a lower level of leak of oil stored therein, and which is structured simply without increasing the number of components therefore. The tensioner includes: a tensioner body having a plunger bore; a cylindrical plunger slidably inserted into the plunger bore; and biasing means for urging the plunger outward. When the tensioner is fixed to a wall surface, a body hole that extends from the wall surface up to a circumferential surface of the plunger bore is located lower than an oil discharge hole in the wall surface.

摘要: In a ring-type tensioner, a resilient ring that cooperates with external grooves formed on a plunger to restrict retracting movement of the plunger in a tensioner housing, is formed with manipulation parts that extend through a cut-out portion in the housing and have bulged portions that are spaced by gaps from opposed walls of the cut-out portions. A rod-shaped tool inserted into one of the gaps cooperates with the bulged portion and the wall on opposite sides of the gap to expand the ring. The manipulation parts can be formed with tool-holding portions.

摘要: In a hydraulic tensioner for maintaining tension in a traveling transmission medium in an engine, oil is delivered to an expansible chamber formed by a tensioner housing and a plunger through a reserve chamber composed of an entrance reserve chamber into which oil flows from an oil supply and a supply reserve chamber from which oil flows to the expansible chamber. A partition between the entrance and supply reserve chambers establishes a communication passage that ensures an amount of oil in the supply reserve chamber sufficient to make up the loss of oil due to leakage from the expansible chamber during a long interval while engine is inoperative, and additional leakage from the expansible chamber due to reciprocating movement of the plunger when the engine is started.

The piston restricting member has an orifice function that can control the amount of discharged oil.
