摘要： The present invention is a projection device for a photocopying machine in which the original documents are moved during the photocopying process and which permits photocopying both of thick and of thin original documents. The projection means includes a focussing means which has a short focal length and is positioned to correctly focus the image of thin original documents which are brought to an exposure station and are only separated space-wise from the focussing means onto a photosensitive material, and a transparent block which, when a thick original document is copied, is automatically interposed between the focussing means and the exposure station and compensates the deviation in the path of image-wise light caused by the transparent carrier on which the thick original document is supported, whereby good resolution is achieved in photocopies of all types of original documents.

摘要： A surface exposure device for use in a copying apparatus essentially comprising a supporting surface for supporting thereon an original from which a duplicate is desired, a lens assembly, a first carriage having therein a reflective mirror and a second carriage having therein at least one reflective mirror. The first and second carriages are conjointly displaceable in the same direction while the first carriage and the support surface undergo relative motion in opposite directions with respect to each other. Copying material on which the image of the original is to be reproduced is transferred at a velocity substantially equal to the relative velocity of movement of the supporting surface and the first carriage, the second carriage being moved at a velocity substantially equal to one-half of the velocity of the first carriage.

摘要： A residual toner removing apparatus which generally comprises four sections communicating with one another, i.e., a cleaner section including a cleaner brush rotatably provided in a housing which has an opening adjacent to a photoreceptor surface, and a duct section which extends from the above housing to a filter section which is in turn followed by a suction section having a fan. Toner particles removed from the photoreceptor surface by the cleaner brush are dislodged from the brush bristles upon contact with a flicker rod to which an air flow regulating plate is fixed and efficiently carried by air flows, through proper gaps, air passages or a slit, into the filter section in which a filter is enclosed.

摘要： A recording device is provided for recording an accompaniment reproduced by a singalong disc player and a vocal part sang at the accompaniment on a recordable disc. A rerecording command during recording is detected for rerecording information on the recordable disc and for producing a rerecording signal. In response to the rerecording signal the recording the information is stopped, and an address of a recorded area of the disc is stored in a memory as an unnecessary area. In response to a restart signal, recording the information is restarted from an end of the unnecessary area. When the rerecording has been finished, the recordable disc is finalized such that the unnecessary area is not reproduced thereafter based on the stored address.

摘要： A disc playing and controlling apparatus which includes a plurality of magazine type disc players. When a first disc player is operating, the apparatus controls the other disk players to find and load a disc holding the next song to be played. Before searching for the next song, the controller determines whether one player is already set in a standby position or whether the next song is located in the player currently being operated. If no player has been set for the next program, the apparatus reads the next selection from a program list and identifies which magazine contains the selected program based on a data map. The map stores each player number and magazine number in an one-to-one relation with the table of contents data for each song.

摘要： An electrophotographic copying apparatus has a frame with two portions which are movable away from each other. An electrophotographic photoconductive member is mounted on one of the frame portions for being exposed when the frame portions are moved away from each other to enable the member to be removed from the frame. A blade-type cleaning device is provided having an elastic blade member for contacting the surface of the electrophotographic photoconductive member for removing residual toner from the surface during movement of the member and a blade holder holding the blade member and mounted on the one frame portion for movement toward and away from the surface of the electrophotographic photoconductive member. A spring is connected to the holder for biasing the holder to urge the blade member into contact with the surface when the frame portions are together. A retracting device is connected to the cleaning device for retracting the holder from the surface when the frame portions are moved away from each other.

摘要： An electrophotographic copying apparatus which is equipped with an improved arrangement for removing jammed copy paper. The apparatus is provided with a photoreceptor and a developing device combined into one unit which can be withdrawn to provide sufficient space for removing jammed copy paper, and is also provided with copy paper transporting members, a corona charger, a transfer charger, a copy paper separating claw etc. which can be moved away from a transfer section in one operation for facilitating access to the jammed copy paper in an efficient manner in the case of copy paper jamming. The transfer charger is covered when it is moved away from the transfer section to protect it from possible damage.

摘要： In an electrophotographic copying machine having a transparent support for support thereon the original to be copied, an illumination device for illuminating the original on the transparent support and a photoreceptor surface adapted to be driven past charging, exposure, developing, transfer and cleaning stations, a discharging device for extinguishing unnecessary electrostatic charge on the photoreceptor surface which is formed at an area between each two adjacent areas to be optically exposed to the incoming light, which discharging device has at least one light guide having one end situated adjacent an intercepting mechanism and the other end situated in the vicinity of the photoreceptor surface. The intercepting mechanism is brought into operation to intercept passage of discharging light towards the photoreceptor surface.
