摘要： In generating a pseudo terminal identifier (pseudo-ESN; pseudo-Electronic Serial Number), a pseudo terminal identifier generating method includes the steps of generating a first configuration code by hashing a mobile equipment identifier (MEID), selecting a second configuration code from codes not used as an electronic serial number (ESN), and generating the pseudo terminal identifier by setting MSB (most significant bit) to the first configuration code and by setting LSB (least significant bit) to the second configuration code. Accordingly, the present invention provides a pseudo terminal identifier after a related art ESN is exhausted.

Preferably, present invention comprises receiving information related to at least one broadcast-multicast service from a base station, determining to receive one or more specific broadcast-multicast services based on the received information, requesting the one or more specific broadcast-multicast services determined to be received from the base station, and receiving a broadcast reject message for indicating rejection of at least one of the one or more specific broadcast-multicast services requested, wherein the broadcast reject message comprises a same reject reason indicator field for indicating whether a reason for rejecting the at least one of the one or more specific broadcast-multicast services requested is identical to a reason for rejecting a previous broadcast-multicast service in the broadcast reject message.

The present invention includes the steps of comparing sectors in an active set to set values corresponding to the soft or softer handoff for the sectors, respectively in a base station, transmitting a first parameter for selecting cell switching parameters between the sectors neighboring each other in the active set to a mobile station wherein the set values for the respective sectors are included in the first parameter, generating values of a parameter PDCH_GROUP_IDENTIFIER corresponding to a packet data channel group identifier using the set values included in the first parameter, determining whether a serving sector and a target sector among the sectors are in the soft or softer handoff using the generated values of the parameter PDCH_GROUP_IDENTIFIER, and selecting the cell switching parameters accordingly.

摘要： A method of establishing connection between a first mobile station (MS) and a second MS in a mobile communication system is disclosed. More specifically, the method includes transmitting to at least one base station (BS) a service message which includes information of at least one service type supported by the first MS and the second MS. Here the at least one service type relates to a multimedia service supported by each of the first MS and the second MS. Furthermore, the method includes transmitting a request message which includes information of at least one service type selected by the first MS, receiving a response message which includes information of the selected service type which is supported by both the first MS and a second MS, and transmitting a connection complete message between the first MS and the second MS for communication using the selected service type.
