摘要： In order to carry out a dedicated type rate control on a reverse link data channel having HARQ applied thereto, rate control bit and ACK/NAK information should be delivered via MAC channel as well as reverse power control information and DRCLock. The present invention provides a method of delivering rate control bit and ACK/NAK information to a mobile station from a base station via MAC channel. Moreover, the present invention provides a MAC channel structure for delivering control information via MAC channel.

摘要： A transmission power control apparatus in a mobile communication system comprises a base station manager adapted to control transmission power of base station channels, wherein the base station manager comprises a channel gain setting unit adapted to set a channel gain ration for each of a plurality of base station channels, the channel gain ratio being a ratio of transmission power of a base station channel to maximum transmission power of a base station, the base station manager further comprising a channel gain converting unit adapted to calculate a power value for each of the plurality of base station channels based on the corresponding channel gain ratio and to transmit the calculated power value to the base station. The transmission power control apparatus further comprises the base station adapted to control the transmission power of each of the plurality of base station channels based on the calculated power values.

The method comprises measuring a rise over thermal noise-measured (ROTm) representing a load degree of a reverse link; comparing the ROTm with a setup reference value (ROTm_th); setting the RAB to lower data rate of a terminal, when the ROTm is greater than the ROTm_th; enabling a base station to receive and monitor a variation state of the ROTm, when the ROTm is less than the ROTm_th; and setting the RAB to control the data rate according to the variation state of the ROTm.

摘要： A method of performing a reverse-link packet data service in a communication system is provided, by which a reverse packet data service is available at a high data rate in the reverse link supporting a variable data rate without additional Walsh code allocation. The method includes steps of transmitting a plurality of traffic packet frames on a first channel, each traffic packet frame having a data rate; transmitting a plurality of main pilots on a second channel; transmitting a plurality of auxiliary pilots on a third channel, each auxiliary pilot corresponding to one traffic packet frame; and transmitting data rate information on a fourth channel, the data rate information indicating the respective data rates of the traffic packet frames, wherein the transmissions on the third and fourth channels are alternated by a time division of one Walsh code. A communication system adopting the method includes a base station for transmitting a plurality of reverse activity bits for a plurality of traffic packet frames to at least one mobile terminal, each traffic packet frame having a data rate, the at least one mobile terminal determining a plurality of reverse rate indicators of the respective data rates of the traffic packet frames using the corresponding reverse activity bits, each reverse rate indicator determining the data rate of the next traffic packet frame.
