Also, a data processing apparatus has an occurrence frequency producing editor for counting an occurrence frequency of each of types of pieces of input data to be compressed and producing an occurrence frequency table formed of a plurality of occurrence frequencies of the types of the input data to be compressed, a data comparing editor for predicting an occurrence of a piece of next input data subsequent to a piece of input data, and a code converting editor for converting the types of pieces of input data according to the occurrence prediction of the next input data in the data comparing editor on condition that a type of a piece of input data is converted into a piece of compressed data having a shorter bit length as an occurrence probability of the type of the input data is higher.

    摘要: Filtering processing is performed with a difference filter and on two pixels in an image, which pixels are adjacent to each other, and a difference between pixel values of the two pixels, which are adjacent to each other, is thus obtained. A judgment is made as to whether an absolute value of the thus obtained difference is or is not equal to at least a predetermined threshold value. In cases where the absolute value of the difference has been judged to be equal to at least the predetermined threshold value, it is judged that an edge is located between the two pixels, which are adjacent to each other. Detection as to whether an edge is or is not located between the pixels in the image is thus capable of being made quickly with simple operation processing.

A pixel value comparison unit compares the pixel values of the three pixels, which are used for selecting the candidate pixel, with each other. Only if the pixel values of the three pixels monotonically increase or monotonically decrease along the arrangement direction of the pixels, a judgment unit judges that the candidate pixel is an intermediate value pixel.

    摘要: An automatic focussing method and an automatic focussing device capable of performing correct focussing. The relative position between an object 4 and an objective lens 2 is measured for focussing. The laser light illuminated on the object is transmitted through a cylindrical lens 7 so as to be condensed only as to one direction. The laser light condensed as to the one direction is illuminated via the objective lens 2 on the object 4 in a linear form. The illuminated laser light reflected by the object 4 is integrated and detected by a detection unit. The relative position between the object and the objective lens is measured from the spot of the detected reflected laser light in order to perform focussing.
